There is now yet another totally legitimate reason to visit Shoppers Drug Mart with the addition of German makeup company ARTDECO to the ever-growing beauty roster! Founded in 1985 by Helmut Baurecht, the company has now expanded to over 70 countries and often out sells larger cosmetic lines because of their amazing quality, packaging and selection all at a reasonable price. Aren’t those all things you would be onboard with?! Today I have a few products from the new Miami Summer Collection which launched just at the end of June to share with you all complete with a makeup look that is guaranteed to last through the summer heat!
Long-Lasting Eyeshadow Stick in City Highlight (#14) and Caribbean Coffee (#18)
These Long-Lasting Eyeshadow Sticks ($16 CDN) are my favourite of the items I tried. There are 8 shades in total ranging from fairly neutral to more adventurous colours like purple and blue. These two shimmery browns not only stick around for 8 hours without any primer, but have gorgeous pigmentation and effortlessly glide on to the eyelid. They were so creamy that I was convinced they would not hold up to its long-lasting claims, let alone the summer heat. I was wrong and only noticed creasing after the 8 hour mark!
All In One Liquid Liner in Tropical Monsoon (#30)
The All In One Liquid Liner ($23 CDN) comes in 5 shades and has a brush tip applicator. Tropical Monsoon is a metallic green that could have been even brighter for me as I had to re-line my eyes over and over to get the colour impact I wanted. It was long-lasting as most liquid liners tend to be and was easy to use.
All In One Mascara Waterproof
The All in One Waterproof Mascara ($21 CDN) has a pretty standard brush with a formula that isn’t too wet for my lashes. The waterproof aspect was something I took advantage of on my bottom lashes as I constantly fear the dreaded lower lash mascara smudge.
Now let’s put everything together!
Excuse the messy bun! Even though I’m wearing metallic green eyeliner, you can see that this look is actually pretty wearable on a day-to-day basis.
