NAILS | A Neon Gradient Means "HELLO SUMMER"! #ManiMonday

My weekend started yesterday and man was it a hot one! I am fine with a hot day, but add in humidity and I'm like "NO". I know that I shave said there are no specific seasons for nail polish shades, but I feel like neons are really a summer thing. It's something about how they look against a tan and just glow in sunshine!

In my early nail polish days, Orly was a brand that I loved for both their formulas and the ease of application thanks to their super cool rubberized brush handles. When I found out that Quo had a polish partnership with Orly, I pretty much bought every Christmas pack that came out because they were just as awesome as I thought they would be. This was my first time trying Color Amp'd polishes which is a 2-step manicure that wears like a gel and has a flexible formula that flexes with the nail to allow manicures to last longer. We will see about that! The summer collection consists of three gloriously pigmented neon shades that I needed to wear all together because they were THAT pretty!

I have been feeling the love for gradients this month and how perfect is it that all three of these summer shades go wonderfully together! I started with two coats of Quo by Orly Color Amp'd Je T'aime L'ocean* and then sponged on the coral J'adore* and fuchsia Summer Bisou*. ALL gradients look a million times better with glitter, so out came one coat of Quo by Orly Falling Star! I sealed it all in with the matching Flexible Sealcoat* and in just a couple of minutes my manicure was completely dry as promised! No dry drops needed! I later decided that I needed some blue and found some matte blue star studs from Born Pretty that seemed to finish off the manicure.
