May 2012 Julep Maven Box

Hellooo!

So, I’m sure this isn’t exciting to anyone anymore, so I’ll just have to fill this post with exclamation marks and captivate you in some other way! I tried to get some extra posts done over the weekend, but then my fiance and spent 6 hours doing an almost shameful activity…get ready for it…Dropquest 2012…it was so much fun and such a nerdy thing to do as a coupleWinking smile. We both actively use Dropbox and our reward for 6 hours of problem-solving was 1G of space. Not a lot, but man was it fun and frustrating all at the same time!

After skipping April’s Julep Maven Box and seeing the first magnetic polish in a Maven box, I was all over May’s Box! I am normally “Classic with a Twist”, but seeing as how there was no nail polish in this box, I opted for “It Girl” with “Sarah” as an add-on (hasn’t arrived yet)

*Drum roll* In May’s “It Girl” Julep Maven Box is…

Sample of The Best Pedi Creme Ever! which I am now dying to try since I skipped the April box!

Ashley – “Sunset orange with a metallic micro-shimmer”

Nessa – “Bright lemon sorbet shimmer”

Kylie – “Sultry violet magnetic polish”

Oh, and this is the first time the polishes have been plastic-wrapped right? Is this because Julep polishes are available at Sephora and need to be packaged a certain way? The brushes on Ashley and Nessa are also a little wonky which seems to be a common things among Mavens this month…I guess I’ll email and ask for new ones like some of the other girls have. All in all, these are colours I don’t have and Kylie is my first and probably only magnetic polish as I don’t really see the appeal too much. Can’t wait to swatch! These are great summer colours!

  10. I got classic with a twist and all my polish peeled off in 6 hours. Is that normal?

    1. Oooh no...that's not normal...what sort of topcoat did you use? A lot of the time, it's because of that...Seche Vite tends to do that with some nail polishes.
