Glossybox Weekend DIY

Hi Girls!

After reading a post by Frances on decorating her Birchboxes and organizing her samples with them, I knew I had to give it a try too! Who knew there would come a time when we needed storage for our wealth of beauty samples?!

I only decorated two Glossyboxes, one for face and hair products. The third box will be for makeup once our May Glossyboxes arrive! Mine aren’t as pretty as the ones Frances’ did, but I actually quite like the muted pink colour of the Glossybox so I didn’t want to cover it all up.

So many samples and having a constant goodie bag at all times!

    1. Thanks! I hope you had a good day too! I thought about re-using my Luxe Boxes for this, but the Glossyboxes are just so much tougher and hold a lot more.

    1. The sample situation is getting a little out of hand over here! I'm trying to get through the shampoo samples because I think those are pretty easy to get through.

  7. I do this, too. Minus the decoration. I'm seriously considering it now though. They make the boxes look more fun :). I think Glossy's box is my favourite -- it's sturdy and holds so much! x

    1. The Glossyboxes are such amazing quality! The decorating was so much fun! It gives you a change to haul out your glue stick and play with stickers!

    1. I definitely love Glossybox, but my favourite is Topbox. Glossybox is a very close second though.

  9. Hi Jayne! Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that other blogger (Frances), so I appreciate the link.

I think this is a great idea. I have a stack of the now retired Glymm boxes which I refused to toss for the same reason. I knew there was something to be done with them. I like being creative, but rarely have an outlet for it anymore. It will be nice to do something artsy.

I'm also thinking that once decorated, they would probably make some great gift boxes. Too many ideas tackling each other to get to the front. My poor brain!

BTW, when I first saw all your samples I was enviously thinking "Wow!", but after looking at them in detail, I think I have a lot of the same ones. LOL! I think I need to put everything together and actually see what I own. I suspect my stash might be more of a mountain than a molehill.

    Have a great one!

    1. LOL, I'll bet you've got the same number of samples or more! And then we collect samples from places other than the sample boxes as well so it really starts to add up!

Frances has a great blog too and I totally recommended reading hers! Once decorated, these would totally make great gift boxes! I can imagine putting cookies in them once I line them with wax paper :-) You should have a relaxing crafty afternoon! That's what I did and I felt so productive and Martha Stewart-esque!

  16. I have something like this too, for my samples and mineral eyes shadows. The Gloosyboxes are too nice to toss. I loved the labels Glossybox sent out in the first box. We need some more!

    2. LOL, no worries! I asked for more labels and I didn't get a straight answer. The rep told me to tweet and post on FB so that the Glossybox higher ups would see how much customers wanted them...
