One Lovely Blog Award!

one_lovely_blog_award

Kristy from My Glittery Obsessions, Sabina from Beauty Blogs and More… and Andrea from Cutely Whimsical nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award for which I say thank you and sorry I’m only doing it now! All three have awesome blogs you all should also check out if you haven’t already!

For this award, I get to share another 7 more facts about myself so I hope no one is bored with me!

1. I have a size 2 ring finger. My engagement ring had to be specially remounted and was the smallest-sized engagement ring Birks has ever made.

2. I currently have 266 bottles of nail polish in my collection and it will probably continue to grow.

3. My birthday is coming up, it’s on Canada Day!

4. I have two tattoos. I got the Chinese characters when I was 22 and the snowflake was a 25th birthday present from my mom. These pictures were taken right after they were done so my skin looks pretty raw.

5. I’m Chinese, but I don’t speak Chinese. I can’t even understand it when spoken.

6. I cried the day I got my Driver’s License because I didn’t believe that I deserved to be on the road! I was scared of driving until I had to start driving myself to university.

7. Along with my love of potatoes, comes a love for tomatoes of all kinds! I love snacking on cherry tomatoes all the time and must always have them in salads.

LOL, hopefully you guys don’t think I’m any more weird after this!

    1. I do love my nail polish :-) Probably more than any other product! Did you ever want to speak your native language? There are times when I wish I did, but Chinese is a bit of a long shot at this point for me.

  2. Thats too funny - you cried when you got your driver licence. I never really drove until I got my first car. and I felt like I was gonna have a nervous breakdown driving it home LOL now of course I can't live without it!

    1. Thank you!!! Driving used to make me so nervous and even now when I'm in an area that I don't know, I still get very tense. I got the snowflake because my Chinese name means "Snowy Smile".

  5. 266 polishes!! WOW! How do you store them? I'm surprised a chinese mother would allow their daughters to get another tattoo! My parents always tell me how they hated them! lol

    1. I store them in the IKEA helmer unit which has been a great option so far. My mom has more tattoo than I do!! My dad is not a fan at all!

  6. wow you have itty bitty fingers! that is wild! I haven't noticed that they looked that small in your NOTD posts but now I will go back and check haha.
You have a lot of polishes! how do you store them? and do you rotate them to make sure they don't separate? what is your routine!
I hope you have a happy birthday :D

    1. LOL, nobody can really tell I have small fingers and hands because everything is proportional. My NOTD posts make my fingers look like normal sized ones which is great. I DO have a lot of polishes! I store them in the IKEA helmer unit which has drawers. I do rotate them on occasion, but it's not a big deal for me if they separate. I just roll them in my hands when I need a colour and I'm good to go again. Thank you for the birthday wishes!

  7. I don't speak my heritage language (Hungarian) either. It is weird though, because I can read it. But even though I'm pronouncing everything right, I don't understand what I'm reading! What's up w/that I wonder? Anyway, congrats on the blog award :)

    1. Oh that must be weird! At least you have the pronunciation though so you could fake it if need be!

    1. I have an IKEA helmer drawer unit that I use to store everything in which has worked so far. Rings NEVER fit me because no one is a size 2 so I can never buy anything out of the showcase. Everything has to be specially made. I only have two rings that I wear on a daily basis because of that. Doesn't stop me from buying lots of necklaces and earrings though!

  9. Aw I loved reading this! Wow your ring finger must be tiny!! Aww haha. lolI love that your nail polish collection is growing!
aww I got emotional when I started driving myself to college because I had just learned. On my first day of school my dad drove separately behind me to make sure I knew my way to the campus and when I saw him leave it was sad :(
Oh and I love your tattoos? What do the Chinese symbols mean?

    1. My fingers are like child's hands! It's pretty crazy!
That is so sweet of your dad to drive behind you! It's like when you parents hold the back of the bicycle until you tell them to let go! I can just imagine your dad saying bye to his little girl as she begins college. So sweet!
The Chinese symbols mean "forest". It's my last name!

  11. Omg love the engagement ring fact! I have size 3 feet and always like when I meet people who appreciate what it is like when you can't get/buy what normal people buy easily!

    1. I still can't get over your size 3 feet! I have to see them! It's hard to buy any rings because a lot of the time sizing it down or having a ring made in a small size just compromises the integrity or design.

  12. That's a LOT of nail polish! I am jealous of your tiny fingers, rings hardly ever fit over my huge knuckles :S :(

    1. Haha, it IS a lot I know! I love them all though :-) I wish my hands were like a size 5 then I could fit most rings. Size 2 means that I can never wear something from a store because everything has to be specially ordered. It sucks, but I guess having larger hands is the same.
