I’m sorry this post is going to be so short, but I’m not feeling very well today so I’m just going to be staying in, curled up with a cat and possibly Diablo 3…? These are just a few things that I couldn’t resist buying from Winners over the last few weeks:
Cargo Lip Gloss Quads ($8.99 each) in Ibiza (left) and Naples (right) and from what I’ve seen, you cannot get these particular combinations anymore from the Cargo website, so I’m guessing they are discontinued. I also saw on both the ebeauty and Cargo websites that there is even a Vancouver lip gloss quad which is all sparkly! Totally not what I would have imagined a Vancouver palette to look like! I must have gotten to the Cargo display pretty early in the game because you can see that these lip quads have no little finger marks in them!
Next up, is a ginormous tub of Lemon Cupcake Smoothing Body Scrub from Cake ($8.99) which smells ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Lemon is another one of my favourite scents and when it is paired off with “cupcake”, it’s a winner in my books! The last things I picked up were two bottles of my new favourite Out the Door Topcoat. This is where Winners can really ruin in for you. I purchased my bottle of OTD from Nail Polish Canada for $11.50 so when I saw it at Winners for $4.99, my eyes almost fell out of my head! I really should have bought out the entire display at the rate I go through topcoats! Does anyone else find that once it gets to the halfway point, you don’t feel like slanting the bottle to the side so that the ENTIRE brush gets coated with topcoat?
I have been trying to be good and limit how much I’ve been shopping at Winners so these four items over the last 2.5 weeks is actually not bad for me! I keep forgetting that I have this *ahem* wedding to save up for…

haha Jayne - there should not be an unhappy face associated with Winners purchases! that's an awesome deal and i will keep an eye out for those top coats at my Winners.

LOL, I guess you're right! Winners does make me happy! OTD really is quite nice I have to say. It's a little weird with holos because it makes them peel off in large chunks, but with other polishes it's awesome!
DeleteWhich Winners do you go to, the one downtown? I always get excited about finding Cake products there but they've always got people's finger marks and stuff in them... so gross!

LOL I usually don't buy makeup from Winners anymore. Everything get touched. I wanted to get the LA Cargo palette but each one had been opened :( so no joy.

DeleteI just went to winners today! I saw a Cargo set but it was soo dirty:( I also saw a couple elf palettes, but they were in pretty bad condition too! Just on the way out I browsed the shelves on last time and I got a glimpse of the Cake raspberry body butter...what a huge tub! Hope you feel better:D
ReplyDeleteI saw the Cake Raspberry Body Scrub too but it smelled a little too sweet to me, so that's why I didn't walk out with two tubs of scrub! Lip products really don't survive at Winners, they get completely mangled if you're not there within a few hours of stock being put out!

I'm feeling a little bit better, my stomach has just been bothering me and I've been feeling nauseated...anyway, I knew I wasn't the only one that hated slanting the bottle for topcoat!

I don't know what I'd do without my Winners. It's a sweet love affair that's for sure! You have to try some Cake stuff! At least try the Milk Made Velveteen Hand Creme. It's awesome!

DeleteHey - hope you're feeling better. It's so funny, 'cause when I was at Winners last week I got a giant tub of raspberry cake body lotion, also for $8.99. It looks like we're going through the fruit scents! I also found a Balmshell gloss for $8.99 - I've seen them retail for over $30 so I snapped it up. You are so right about the cosmetics being opened and tested, but that's actually where my Beauty So Clean stuff from my first Glossybox comes in so handy! (I didn't think I'd be using it before getting stuff from Winners).
