In addition to making bath time smell that much more delectable, NSPA also carries a number of Beauty Rituals products that take you from cleansing, exfoliating, and treating to moisturizing. NSPA is about taking of numero uno, so why not have a great skincare routine in addition to a relaxing bath time session?
I take great pains to make sure my skin is happy, but in the last two weeks it has completely flipped out on me with its insatiable thirst. My cheeks have been so flaky and dry that my skin actually looks much less agitated WITHOUT makeup and ONLY moisturizer. NSPA’s Ultra Hydrate Cream is touted as the perfect moisturizer for changes in weather and dry skin patches with ginseng, Vitamin E and Pro-Vitamin B5 to ensure 12 hour hydration without the greasiness.
At first glance, this whipped texture does not seem like it would hydrate for 12 hours, but looks can be deceiving! This is a shea butter-based cream that also has allantoin (soothes redness) and lactic acid (gently exfoliates skin on surface to reveal glowing skin).
SKIN STATS: Dry, but not sensitive. Dehydrated on cheeks, sides of nose and chin. Breakouts are rare, but hyperpigmentation starting to happen when I do.
Final Verdict: While it doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy, it does leave a very slight tackiness to the skin for about 3 hours. I have been quite itchy throughout the day where my dry patches were and this cream has completely alleviated it.
The only thing I do not like about this product is the scent. It reminds me of a strong musky perfume even though there is no actual fragrance added as this is a cream formulated for sensitive skin in mind. The scent is undetectable once on the skin which is the only reason I’ve been able to use it on my face the last few weeks.
As the product description states, this is a wonderful “transitional moisturizer” when seasons are changing and your skin is all over the place. If you are looking to target specific skincare concerns such as hyperpigmentation or anti-aging, this is probably not the moisturizer for you. If you are looking to alleviate hydration, redness and irritation, pick this up almost as a “treatment” mask because it sure does the job. Without this, I would have scratched my face off and you wouldn’t have seen FOTDs for AWHILE!
Is anyone else’s skin freaking out? Also, stay tuned for an NSPA giveaway next week!
