NAILS | J & S Nails Gel Polish Swatch in SR3 Review

It is Chinese New Year on Jan 28th and I am on the hunt for some celebratory red polishes! I have never been one to fully celebrate CNY, but my work environment is very supportive of it so I have been paying more and more attention to the traditions involved. I realize I have been chatting about J & S Nails a lot since last month, but I have been so impressed with how easy their system is to use as well as the final results of their polishes, that I can't help but gravitate towards them! I know these were all PR samples, but seriously! These polishes have changed the way I think about gel polish and I hope all of you get a chance to check them out for yourselves!

SR3* is a brighter red with a hint of orange running through it. When I was trying to decide which red to try first, it was a challenge as they all look fairly similar when you pull the brushes out of the bottles. I really love them all at this point, but isn't she gorgeous??? I did not use any base or top coat with this manicure and applied two coats of polish. I did a 30s cure after the first coat and a 60s cure after the second. The shine that you see is just mind-numbingly beautiful! My brain just turns to gel polish!

Gel polish is so wonderfully self-leveling and though it is a thicker consistency than regular polish that makes you want to apply it thickly, the key is slow yourself down and keep to this thinner coats. You can always do more of them! This polish does not require a top coat, but if you want even more shine, you can go right ahead and do that. If not, after the final cure you are good to go! No wiping off sticky residue either! It's just so fast!
