A personal, unwritten resolution of mine last year was to talk more about Korean beauty products since I have quite the personal collection! I am going to try and do one better this year and have a Korean beauty post every week so hopefully I can get into the routine of it! I find Korean makeup brands to be "not quite" as up there with North American brands when it comes to formulation and innovation, there are a few products that are either packaged so cutely or so talked about that I just have to run out (to my computer) and click "Complete Order"!
If there is one thing Korean beauty has down, it's the lip stain. Most Korean makeup looks involve just a hint of colour in the form of a gradient lip and I have to say that when I picked up the Peripera Peri's Ink in No-Spoiler, it was hands down so much more pleasant to use than any of the North American brands I had tried. This includes the luxe brands too! This is a long-wearing "tattoo-like" lip stain that promises comfort in addition to colour payoff and longevity. Let's see how it did!

Obviously, packaging is super cute. When I was younger, I used to think that I would move past the cuteness of Asian packaging, but now I have realized that full-grown women in Asia always have some sort of Sanrio character in their lives whether it'd be in the form of a lipstick, stationary or kitchen appliance so I am just going to own it.
There was something about this flat doe-foot applicator that made this highly pigmented lip stain so incredibly easy to apply. I have a very prominent cupid's bow which makes it a challenge to apply any pigmented lip products. I always screw up one "point" and then overcompensate with the other or give myself "unilip". It also held a good amount of product on either side of the applicator.
Like most lip stains, the consistency was watery, but oh-so-pigmented! It didn't feel like I was really wearing anything and I absentmindedly started rubbing my lips at some point only to remember I WAS wearing something! It's like it just became part of my lips!
Final verdict: Longevity is up there in the 6 hour range! I actually had to use quite a bit of oil to remove the colour completely so once this stuff sets, I really don't worry about it anymore. I only picked up one because I really wasn't sure how much I would enjoy this lip stain, but now I have the light and dark pink in my shopping cart! It is so much more than just a stain and is just so pretty worn as a full-on lipstick! Love it!
Peripera Peri's Ink is available on ebay.ca or on Rose Rose Shop which is where I got mine!
