NAILS | Fishtail Braids #CBBxManiMonday

It has been awhile since I have done a manicure that took a whackload of patience and...tweezers. Fishtail or braid nail art can be done without striping tape and just with careful strokes of the polish brush, but I though it might be "fun" to put myself through a tiny bit of hell and create my braid through taping! We are also showing some local love to one of my favourite nail polish brands - Prim + Proper available exclusively at London Drugs!

1. Paint all nails 2 coats of Prim + Proper Snowbird.
2. Paint with a fast drying top coat so we can start taping immediately!
3. Tape off your middle and ring nails like in this photo.
4. Fill in the various colours of nail polish in whatever order you wish (as long as two colours are not next to each other) using a dotting tool instead of the polish brush for extra control. I am using the shades: First Nation, Mount Royal Blue and Bri-Tan-ia* all from the Prim + Proper collection.
5. Apply two pieces of striping tape in an "X" shape on the index and pinky nails and repeat same technique as in Step 5.
6. Wait a VERY long time (longer than I did to prevent smearing) and seal it all in with top coat!
