When I received the Spring Holt Renfrew catalogue and saw that they would soon be carrying Oribe makeup, skincare and nail polish I eagerly awaited for my girl Anna to text me that the items I wanted were in. That day came a few weeks ago and though I swore I wouldn't buy more nail polish until I got through a combination of press samples and self purchases, I could not resist the call of a single bottle of Oribe Nail Lacquer! Many of you might be fans of their dry shampoo and other hair products just like I am so I had very high expectations for this $38 bottle of polish which currently comes in nine sleek creme shades.
Housed in a rather large, but sleek looking bottle, Green Envy is an almost one coater with an incredibly high shine. It is self-leveling and was very easy to apply with the rounded brush. The bottle shape itself reminds me of a little parcel and the handle mimics the finish of stone.
On the top of the bottle is the iconic Oribe gold seal which will make this bottle really easy to find in my drawers!
Wear time was actually not bad considering it has been over a week and I still have this shade on my nails. The Oribe formula is made with extra flex to prevent chipping and lock in colour. I have zero chipping on my left hand and slight tip chipping on my right hand as we speak so in my books that's not bad at all!
This will not be the last shade I get from Oribe, but I do hope they come out with more interesting shades as I am pretty good with my creme stash of reds, nudes and purples. I made an exception for Green Envy since I don't own much in the way of army green, but like any collector I will be displaying this proudly on my nail polish shelf!
Oribe Nail Lacquer can be purchased exclusively at Holt Renfrew in Canada.
