Peace Out Instant Pore Perfector Review

I think this is as close to makeup as I am going to get for awhile as I really do not feel like applying makeup in this heat nor did I prepare any makeup posts beforehand because I think I have now become exclusively a hair and skincare blogger. This makeup primer from Peace Out though? Sure, I will make time for because I have been treating it like skincare and really enjoying the experience!

Peace Out Instant Pore Perfector Review

The Peace Out Instant Pore Perfector is silicone-free and contains skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and mushroom extract in the first half of the ingredients list. Obviously the "priming ingredients" like silica are higher up, but when it comes to makeup products, it's nice to know that over time, my skin will eventually benefit from its use.

I think we have all tried numerous primers and I find that most primers, save for a handful, truly stand out and it is usually because of the texture. This primer is one of those because it is kind of like a mousse and then as you rub the product into the skin, it feels like it "produces water"? Like it feels kind of juicy, but I don't see any liquid coming out which is a total mindf***!

Normally, it would be super helpful of me to post a before and after photo of what my pores look like after application, but honestly, I didn't see a massive difference in person and I couldn't get the camera to show a difference in photos. I don't really have large pores, but I did see and feel a slight smoothing effect. I did not notice any pilling when I applied this on top of my skincare routine, but keep in mind that my morning routine is completely oil-free as I don't want to worry about my sunscreen pilling.

Final verdict: I really enjoyed the texture of this primer and though I wouldn't say this is a particularly "grippy" primer, it's a nice one for daily use or a casual day of errands vs. your wedding day where makeup needs to stay intact for as long as possible. This primer leans more towards the skincare side so if you don't have too much to blur and just want your skin to look a touch more even than usual, this is a solid one to use alongside your skincare. With Peace Out being a skincare-based brand, it makes sense that the skin would still be the #1 priority!
