Purchased by me
I was supposed to have a morning facial at Dior this morning, but my esthetician was sick which was kind of good with me as I really wanted to stay home instead of driving downtown. It's also a gloomy day so perfect for hunkering down and writing about my December Ipsy Original Bag! I haven't done much writing in probably two weeks as I have been spending a lot of my time organizing and cleaning and trying to do what I can just to have LESS STUFF in my life. I think everyone is really good at this in January, but not so good in July so I am hoping to keep it up!

Never heard of this brand before, but upon looking it up, this brand is founded by Vancouver, BC-born identical twins Kymber and Alexis McClay known online as the "bio-hacking twins" which is sort of an "eye-roll" term for me as someone with two science degrees, but it seems to be a social media term that sells. From looking at their products, they all look lovely though this packaging and rose gold colour remind me a lot of Miranda Kerr's brand, Kora Organics.
This scrub has a very fine grit and creamy texture gentle enough to use even a few times a week without messing with the skin. I like to now only use physical exfoliants around my nose, chin and forehead so this will be perfect. I received a deluxe size of this product valued at $3.50 USD.

We all know Blinc for one of the very first tubing mascaras on the market and I didn't actually know they made any skincare, but I guess if you specialize in mascara, it makes sense to focus on the immediate eye area! This eye cream is packed with peptides, caffeine and hyaluronic acid to target puffiness, dark circles and fine lines and can be used day and night. I received a deluxe size of this product valued at $4.00 USD.

I have been sooooo curious about the various Tarte Juicy formulas so I was VERY excited to try this Balm Gloss. It did not disappoint! So, it smells like coconut which I don't love, but the scent disappears very quickly and has a gloriously thick balmy texture bordering on slightly tacky. It does not slip and slide, but stays in place. This shade is also the perfect everyday neutral and keeps my lips hydrated in my severely dry and AC'd work environment. I received a deluxe size of this product valued at $4.63 CDN.
LUNA MAGIC | The Amor Palette

Ok, this looks just like Natasha Denona's palettes and we all know it. The rounded corners of the packaging and the five shades are laid out in the pan...like hmmm, but upon first swatch the shades look and feel fairly soft and pigmented. Not as pigmented as ND's, but not bad. I received a FULL SIZE of this product valued at $26 USD.
TOYFACTORY | Superset Hyaluronic Acid Setting Spray
I have mentioned before that I love a good setting spray so the product that I chose for my bag was this Toyfactory setting spray! Another brand I had never heard that ALSO turns out to be Canadian and based in Toronto! Founded by Tik Toker Ryan Dubs, they have a sister brand called Dew of the Gods and the thing that stuck out to me about the brand was that they say their formulas are "chosen by AI" which I think means that they create formulas that suit as many skin types and tones as possible. While I am not really a fan of Ryan's vibe, this setting spray is AMAZING! Even this little baby size sprays so beautifully and powerfully while having the mist be so fine! I would definitely buy the full size of this as I am already almost finished it! I received a deluxe size of this product valued at $7.20 USD.
Final verdict: The total value of this month's Ipsy Original Bag was $59.64 CDN with the bulk of it being from the full size eye shadow palette. The Tarte lip balm and setting spray were two products that I have been loving and using non-stop so I think based on that, this bag was very much worth it for me!
