I started watching She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Disney+ last week and I am enjoying it! I love the little cameos and Tatiana Maslany is pretty cool as a Hulk! I have been playing the last week by ear in terms of blogging and even though the thought of scheduling posts and being on top of things for the Fall is enticing, when I have my sad moments I just let myself fall into them. If all I want to do is veg on the couch after work and watch Schitt's Creek, that's what I will do. I try not to feel guilty about the fact that I haven't posted much in the way of press samples or blog posts, but I am realizing that grief is its own creature and I also have to let it run its course instead of setting deadlines for myself. 

NAILS | Abstract Love featuring OPI Nature Strong

While I may not necessarily celebrate Valentine's Day, I sure do love a good pink manicure and after doing one round of Valentine's Day nail art, I had to have more! I've always loved the abstract manicures with lines and dots so I wanted to try to create this with solely OPI Nature Strong polishes just to see how a vegan polish measured up to the "regular guys" in terms of ease of use in nail art and as a full base nail colour. As you can see, the polishes did not disappoint!

NAILS | Summer Abstract #CBBxManiMonday

I am hoping to be a bit better about the blogging this week as I inadvertently took a bit of a week long break last week because I was far more interested in watching hours of the Olympics every night! No one at my work watches which I find crazy and I am glad that my husband also enjoys watching everything because I was definitely captivated by the introduction of sport climbing this year!

NAILS | An Abstract Valentine's #CBBxManiMonday

This is the first ManiMonday I have actually full missed in two years, but where I normally would have felt a bit of shame, I just feel relieved to have taken the weekend off from beauty as I had a very busy weekend with work where I think it would have made more sense just to sleep at my desk as most of my time in the last 2 days was spent there instead of in the coziness of my apartment. Even tonight as I painted my nails pink, I was originally going to just paint them two coats and leave a design for later, but I got into the zone and THIS emerged.

NAILS | Dotted Abstract Nail Art #CBBxManiMonday

Here we are on the last day of September and though I am just shocked at how quickly this month has passed, I am really excited for October because...HALLOWEEN! I am excited for the manicure and the crazy sheet masks I have planned! Today's #CBBxManiMonday is about the clash of two brights once again - blue and pink! As you can tell, I have REALLY been into abstract nail art as of late so I wanted to give it one more go before we start doing the creepy, crawly manicures!

NAILS | Going Abstract Again #CBBxManiMonday

I used to think that I could never pull off an abstract manicure and when I started seeing more and more of the minimalist/geometric style manicures being showcased by big brands and other nail artists, I still wasn't sure if I had the creativity to design something and I still don't! I'm not a particularly creative person so I really do need to go through Pinterest or Instagram to get some ideas and today's manicure is from the feed of one of my favourite nail artists @thehangedit. I have also really been loving the shades from the new CND Treasured Moments collection so this manicure gave me a chance to use them again!
