Wow, so I didn’t think I’d be this busy this month, but I suppose wedding planning DOES take up a lot of your free time! I quite enjoyed the August Ipsy bag as the actual makeup bag reminded me of Harry Potter and the product selection consisted of items that I had been lusting for!
The Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask is a nutrient rich mask that is blended with Pumpkin and Glycolic Acid. This rejuvenating facial treatment removes dead skin, impurities and toxins, moisturizes and firms, improves elasticity and pliability of the skin, unclogs pores allowing skin to breathe and facilitates movement of skin oils. Adds brightness and radiance to the skin and significantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Thoughts: After hearing so much about this brand and the charcoal facial scrub, I am more than happy to try another product from Michael Todd! Although this bag is from August, this pumpkin mask seems more than appropriate for the Fall!
Full size: 100mL/$34.00
I received: 30mL/$10.20
Always be photo ready with the Photo Finish Foundation Primer! This primer creates the perfect canvas for makeup application and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores. Velvety-smooth, even finish. Oil-free.
Thoughts: I have received a sample of this before, but still have yet to try it. I really should test it out as it might be a good product to use on my wedding day since it’s going to be a long day!
Full size: 30mL/$44.00
I received: 7.1mL/$10.41
This unique mascara truly boosts your lashes, giving them a "push-up" effect that lasts all day. The dense, rich formula coats lashes with maximum pigment, for long-lasting full color and the cone-shaped brush coats each lash evenly. Long lasting, smudge-free and waterproof.
Thoughts: I am so sad that I can’t use this at the moment because I have extensions, but it will find a home with one of my co-workers for sure!
Full size: 0.25oz/$19.00
I received: 0.105g/$7.98
Urban Decay's Pigment Infusion System™ delivers insane color payoff with creamy shine, Maxi-Lip™ plumps and nourishing oils leave lips cushiony soft. Get the color you crave. Addictive to apply (and even more addictive to wear), this creamy formula glides on without dragging or skipping, hugs every curve and gives you a BIG laydown of color. There's a wide range of colors - from gorgeous nudes to bold brights, there’s something for everyone. Our luxe, custom-designed gunmetal tube (lined in dark purple) features organically shaped facets that practically beg to be touched. You’ll want to keep pulling it out of your bag—whether it’s time to reapply or not.
Thoughts: I was SO HAPPY to see this in my Ipsy bag even though it is a bit of a flashy colour. I thought it was the cutest sample of (at the time) a very hot product and I was elated to see that Ipsy was able to score some deluxe samples for all of us! I’m just glad that the samples weren’t in little blister packs!
Full size: 0.09oz/$26.00
I received: No amount given and I’m not good with ounces so I will leave this value for now, but I feel like the sample is of a decent size as you can see from the picture.
MicaBeauty Mineral Eyeshadows are extremely gentle, free of preservatives, chemicals, dyes, talc, oils, and other fillers. With this unique formula, the eyeshadows will look ultra smooth and stay put for hours without creasing or pulling the delicate eye area. Can be mixed with clear lip-gloss, clear mascara, and clear nail polish to add pigment to lips, eyelashes and nails!
Thoughts: To be honest, my Mica Beauty collection is growing and I’m a little tired of seeing this brand repeatedly. The colour IS a nice one though and is a wonderful shimmery bronze that can easily be worked into my Fall makeup selection.
Full size: 2.5g/$14.95
I received: *FULL SIZE*
Total Value of August Ipsy Bag: $43.54 (at least as I did not include the UD lipstick)
Even though the full size product wasn’t something I particularly enjoyed, I was very pleased with the rest of the items featured last month. I am looking forward to using the Michael Todd face mask and testing out the Smashbox primer. The Urban Decay lipstick will have to wait for a day where I feel the need for an aggressive red lip!
