MAKEUP LOOK | Lise Watier Majestique Holiday 2015 Collection Mini Reviews and Swatches

I had the photos for this post already to go for NYE, but I was one of those unfortunate few that had to work the couple of days up until New Year's so to be honest, I fell asleep at 8pm NYE and called it a night! The holidays have been both utterly wonderful and exhausting and I have to admit that holiday makeup collections contribute to a large part of the "wonderfulness"! I talk a lot about Lise Watier on the blog because it is by and large a Canadian brand that I am surprised not MORE Canadians have tried and loved. The collections are consistent and the quality is nothing short of amazing. The limited edition Lise Watier Majestique Holiday Collection is yet another solid collection that let's celebrate while looking incredibly elegant.

When it comes to ANY Lise Watier collection, I am almost always won over by the eyeshadow palettes. The Palette Luxury Eyeshadows ($42.00 CDN) come in two different shades: Luxury Lady (more gold) and Dark Diva (more purple). I received the Dark Diva* palette and immediately loved the quilted look of each shadow and of course the colours! I would have been happy with either palette, but a palette that has a purple in it always pulls at my heartstrings.

All 5 shades swatched beautifully and felt very soft and silky to the touch.

The Contour & Blush Duo* ($38.00 CDN) is a matte sculpting duo that subtly contours and adds an instant healthy blush to the cheeks. I found both shades to be very blendable making me unafraid to use the contour shade! Oftentimes, I only use the blush in duos like these, but the contour is finely milled making it easy to fix mistakes if I pick up too much colour.

There are also two limited edition Gourmand Velours ($24.00 CDN) shades in Noble Nude* (shown below), a matte rose pink and Fatal Potion, a dark matte vampy wine. Also new, but not limited edition, are two Rouge Gourmand ($24.00 CDN) shades in Fortune Cookie and Red Delight* (shown below). Both types of lipstick are incredibly creamy and aim to make lips appear more plump. I love that there are also matching nail lacquers for each of the lipsticks pictured below in Red Heart*($9.00 CDN) and Perfect Spell* that I hope to incorporate into a post for Chinese New Year as they are incredibly luscious-looking!
