For this week's BCD Nail Art Challenge the theme is "Retro" which made me think of those old school arcade games like Pac-Man! I had my 13th birthday at an arcade playing Dragon's Lair and I still miss playing those types of video games to this day. For today's nail art, I used the Pac-Man tutorial from Meghan of Will Paint Nails for Food (here) as she is one of my favourite nail artists despite her absence from social media and blogging for almost a year now. I hope she comes back soon!
I started off with two coats of Essence Black is Back* and then did the rest in acrylic paint with the exception of the white dots where I used OPI Infinite Shine in Non-Stop White*. In retrospect, I feel like it would have been easier to dot in the dots first because spatially, I was all off when it came to drawing in those blue borders.
I finished off the manicure with a matte top coat like this one from Julep. I rarely use matte top coats so this is the first on the blog I think!
