Amongst the plethora of beauty products H&M launched last year, there are a couple of body products that H&M has gotten eco-certified (Find out more about what being eco certified means here)! Being eco-certified is always something I find impressive when I see companies do it as it is something that is done per product as opposed to per company. It is something I find important in setting products apart from the rest of the "green world" as it means a governing third party has vetted the products as "natural". I have been happily incorporating the H&M Sweet Lemon Hand Cream* ($9.99 CDN) and H&M Sweet Lemon Hand Wash* ($9.99 CDN) into my daily routine.
The Sweet Lemon Hand Wash contains certified organic aloe vera and pomegranate in a glycerin base and also contains lavender essential oil which is now one of my favourite scents. The soap itself is almost like a gel and isn't "stringy" like how some hand soaps can be, but does require at least two pumps to completely cover the hands. It doesn't lather much either.
The Sweet Lemon Hand Cream is made with certified organic shea butter, pomegranate seed oil, jojoba oil, apricot kernel oil, beeswax and aloe vera. In addition to the lavender and lemon scent, I love that this hand cream is hydrating, but non-greasy. There is nothing worse than greasy keyboard!
I have also picked up 6 of the H&M Conscious t-shirts to "match" my new hand cream and soap. Totally legitimate purchase, right?
Available in stores at the H&M Beauty Department.
