NAILS | Essie Bikini So Teeny Dried Flower Spring Nail Art #essienailedit

I know the blog these last two weeks have been filled with nail posts, but my face has been needing a bit of a break from makeup and I've been really feelin' the nails! Today I have an Essie nail polish classic to share - Bikini So Teeny*, a light cornflower blue with a hint of shimmer throughout. Why I haven't purchased this shade is beyond me, but the nail polish universe must have been thinking of me when Influenster sent me this shade in my Essie VoxBox!

For my basecoat, I used
Essie's Millionails Treatment* which is quite similar to OPI's Nail Envy, but leaves a matte finish. Seeing as how it is now spring (and oddly summer based on the 22 degree Vancouver weather), I decided it was a good time to use some dried flowers from Born Pretty. Though they weren't the most practical, as top coat kills the flowers, they were pretty for the few hours they survived on my finger nails!

Bikini So Teeny was opaque in 2 easy coats and when topped off with Essie's Gel Setter Top Coat, got a little boost of shine though any top coat will do. Then I gently pressed the flowers into the wet top coat until secured.

Essie polishes can be purchased at mass drugstore nationwide.
