Lush | Halloween 2016 Collection aka That "Other" Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I don't know about you guys, but as a grown woman in her 30s I cannot WAIT for Lush's Halloween and Christmas collections to come out. Certain products, like the Sparkly Pumpkin and Snow Fairy Shower Gel are becoming a tradition where it just doesn't feel like the holidays until they hit my bathroom. Since Lush comes out with new products every year, I won't share the ones I have already reviewed - just the ones that are new for this year or items that I (you) have to have!

Lush Halloween 2016 Collection

Starting with the BOMBS - this Monsters' Ball* ($7.25 CDN) bath bomb was so enticing that I used up the whole thing for one bath! This is a super fizzy neroli-scented delight that leaves your bathwater a deep blue-purple. The eye is also the LAST thing to disappear so as this little guy is fizzing away he just STARES at you from the murky blue depths of your bathtub! This is a total must-have just because it's so creepily cute, but be prepared to scrub your tub as it will be bright purple afterwards! It's all worth it, right?

Another new member to the Lush bath bomb family this year is the very traditional Pumpkin Bath Bomb ($6.95 CDN) - a blend of sweet vanilla, cinnamon and pimento. While I don't like actual pumpkin pie all that much, this guy actually smells good enough to eat as the spice really comes through to make this bath bomb even a little invigorating!

The Autumn Leaf ($6.95 CDN) is available until Christmas and is a very pretty bath bomb. I just loved the design of this one and the swirls of mint green red and yellow representing the changing of the seasons all right in your tub! This is a more mature scent of bergamot, sandalwood and neroli and is a great way to transition into the cozy winter months. I may even get two of these at this point!

Boo ($5.95 CDN) is a brand new luxury bath melt made of cocoa butter, ginger and various citrus oils. This little 40g friend slowly melts his way into your bathwater (and your heart) leaving your skin super moisturized and ever so slightly perfumed. This is the ultimate lazy guy or gal's way to relax and stay moisturized without ever having to lift a finger.

I have a love/hate relationship with shimmer bars because the last time I used one, it got on my sheets as I went to bed almost right away after I had showered, but I could not resist this cute little Goth Fairy* ($7.95 CDN) (the antithesis to the Snow Fairy) and her bergamot-scented ways. This gal moisturizes the skin with a blend of illipe (nut) and Cupuacu butters while leaving behind a mica silver shimmer. It didn't leave my skin feeling greasy either so maybe the Goth Fairy is changing my mind about shimmer bars...

Ah, the soaps! There are two new bar soaps this year that will also be here to stay until Christmas. Magic Wand ($6.95 CDN/100g) is a detoxifying and brightening soap with a pomegranate center and charcoal rind. If you prefer soaps that aren't overly sweet, Magic Wand is the soap for you as the pomegranate seems to tone down the other citrus scents. Fireside ($8.95 CDN/100g) is a spicy, sexy soap made with coconut, clove bud, vanilla and pimento berry oil. I found the scent to be fairly unique and almost woodsy. I also love the little flame built into each piece of soap.

Aaaand, it ain't Halloween without the Lord of Misrule! While the bath bomb is fun, I much prefer the Lord of Misrule Shower Cream* ($9.95 CDN/100g) so I can relive this bright green ghoulish experience every day! This shower gel is a blend of black pepper, patchouli and vanilla. Talk about playing with your senses. I am torn between wearing this as a fragrance (please Lush, come out with this as an EDT!) and just resuming my shower routine! The patchouli is strong, but the spicy sweetness really pushes through the layers too.

I love Lush and their seasonal collections make me so happy. I know I'm not the only grown-up to want to take baths with little monster bath bombs so let me know in the comments below if you plan on picking any of these products up!
