I have been going almost one year straight without missing a #ManiMonday and I have to say that I feel pretty proud of myself for having some form of a routine on Cosmetic Proof. I have seen a lot of bloggers come and go in my time here because of babies, school and just life in general and though the natural progression of beauty blogging is leaning towards editorial/media style write-ups, I have always loved the homegrown cozy feeling of a personal journal. These were the first blogs I really gravitated towards and though I have a few magazine-style blogs on my Bloglovin', I much prefer beauty blogs with a touch of personality, not too much controversy and a bit of humour. I try my best to do a blend of the three and though I haven't been quite as regular with the blog as last year, I truly enjoy doing it and will never throw in the towel as it is such an outlet for me. I get discouraged like any human being, but in the last year or so, I've realized that we all do our own thing here and as long as I continue to contribute content that expands our global knowledge base, I am a happy camper. So, what was I talking about again? Nails. Right.
I cannot get over how holiday appropriate the Mary Kay Runway Bold Collection is! Mary Kay polishes have always been super opaque and easy to work with. Though these are supposedly Fall shades, I immediately think of holiday glitter when I see this trio of festive-looking polishes. Though dark blues are not my favourite nail polish shade, mainly because of staining, Blue Debut* ($10.00 CDN) could have easily been a one-coater.
I hadn't done polka dots in awhile, so I went with one of the most GORGEOUS gold polishes I have seen since Revlon Gold Coin and evenly dotted Mary Kay - Gold is Bold* all over my nails. Once I added top coat, I was so happy with how they looked! Just like a freshly wrapped Christmas gift!
