HAIR | My Design.ME Routine!

I have been struggling to write blog posts for the majority of this month due to a more grueling schedule for my day job and though I have remained fairly chipper on social media, the reality is that I am coming home from work, having dinner then sleeping (plus sheet masking of course!) which has had me feeling so unproductive. I have pretty much written off this month for writing my usual goal of 15-20 blog posts so I hope that April will be a fresh start! For now, we need to discuss the hair care line Design.ME because I fell HARD for their dry shampoo and now that I have tried almost the rest of the products I feel like I have a much more well-rounded view of the brand, BUT their dry shampoo foam is STILL my favourite product out of everything!

Not only does Design.ME have some attractive packaging, but I love that the purpose of their products is simple along with being vegan, cruelty, sulphate, paraben-free. Based on the pretty cute names of the products, I don't even need to read the back to figure out what each product does because it's all just out there! I mean, you would know how to use "Hold.ME" right?

The Puff.Me Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner* is a duo I have been using for the last two months and enjoying it! The increase in volume at my roots is subtle, but enough so that the next day I don't even need to apply any volumizing powder for lift as I tend to lose volume once I sleep on my hair. In terms of hydration, the conditioner is okay, but I prefer to still use a hair mask for an extra boost. The other thing I really liked about this duo was that it offered a bit of heat protection (up to 160 degrees C) for when I need to blow dry my hair.

The PowerDry.ME Lotion* is a multi-purpose product that cuts down blow dry time, acts as a heat protectant, offers UV protection and tames frizzies and flyaways. While I wasn't measuring to the second how much faster my hair dried, the technology behind products like this is essentially that wet hair is coated so that water "beads out" of the hair instead of soaking into it so that the hair dryer essentially acts like those Dyson hand dryer blades. Water just gets blown away! This product I used more for heat protection when I was curling my hair, but honestly whether it cut my blow dry time in half, I really didn't notice.

The Fab.Me 18-in-1 Leave In Treatment* is kind of a crazy one with its apparent 18 hair benefits! It is for EVERY hair concern you have ever had or WILL have! I read the reviews on the website and people seemed really wowed by this, but I didn't notice too big of a difference in levels of hair hydration or texture. Then again, I haven't been using this everyday, but I feel like with a hair product you should be able to see results almost right away. I am going to keep experimenting with this because the reviews just seem so out of this world that it makes me feel like I need to use it for more occasions.

Ah, the Hold.ME Three Way Hairspray*! This has become one of my favourite products because of the amount of control I have with the three levels of hairspray built right into the nozzle. I curl my hair a lot so I like to set it with one round of hairspray and never touch it again unless it's with a dry conditioner or hair oil. This spray is so nice and fine and the amount of control I get with the various settings is insane! I generally leave it on LOW for my curls and side part which allows the curls to hold, but slowly relax into a more natural wave. LOVE this hairspray.

The Puff.ME Volumizing Powder Spray* is certainly an interesting product because I am used to using these volumizing powders in the form of "shake out" and brush through hair and at roots. When it comes to the actual spray mechanism, I don't like spraying this directly on my hair/roots because the texture is sticky and a little hard to work with if you accidentally spray too much product. Between my drier powder Bumble & Bumble Pret a Powder and this, I still feel more comfortable using Pret a Powder because the powder is gritty, but not sticky. I wanted to like this product because it seems so cool, but alas it was not meant to be.

In addition to the dry shampoo, I really enjoyed the hairspray as well as the shampoo and conditioner. Pricing for Design.Me is more than drugstore, but less than what you pay for specialty salon brands AND are fairly innovative. Though the product line is fairly small right now, I am curious to see what other products Design.ME comes out with. Perhaps a hair mask? Scalp exfoliator?
