I feel the urge to say thank you to anyone who is still reading this space as even I am finding it hard to find time to read the blogs of some of my favourite bloggers nowadays which makes me sad because I feel like I don't READ as much anymore. I have been trying to do my Goodreads Reading Challenge and I have only hit my goal of 30 books once - back in 2011 I think. That's a loooong time ago and now I am struggling just to read my second book of the year. SO SAD! The one constant I have had going on in my life is masks of all kinds and back in May I focused on masks that had nothing to do with the face and had everything to do with all the other parts of the body with one of the more effective masks being the SNP Overnight Hair Mask*!

SNP is a fantastic Kbeauty brand who some of you may remember from me being a dragon earlier this year and in addition to the many many awesome sheet masks they make, they also make some great hair masks!
This hair mask promises to strengthen and restore damaged hair while also clearing the scalp of buildup. That sounds pretty good to me! What I found most intriguing about this mask was the absence of any silicones as most conditioning masks while most certainly have them! There are also no parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrolatum or phthalates and it is also safe to use on natural and colour-treated hair.
There are two parts to this mask with the first part being the actual conditioning treatment and the second being the cutest sleeping cap ever! There is A TON of product so even for long hair like mine, I had extra and could be VERY generous with my application. This is applied on DRY hair with a focus on the ends of hair or where your hair is driest.
Then put on the sleep cap, admire the cute little design on the back and go to bed! As someone who takes her showers at night, rinsing it out in the morning was challenging as it sort of threw me off schedule, but after shampooing the mask out of my hair, I had gorgeously soft hair! I wish I had taken a photo of my hair afterwards, but I do have this mask on my Instagram Highlight reel showcasing my hair just out of the shower and blow-dried.
Mask Summary:
Price: Starting at $5 (these were super hard to find anywhere other than eBay!)
Scent: Floral
Essence Type: Thick cream
Duration: Overnight
Thickness: N/A
Mask Fit: N/A
Tackiness: N/A
Hydration: My hair was super smooth, soft and tangle-free!
Other notes: I couldn't believe how smooth my hair felt as there were no silicones in this mask! My hair was also tangle-free!
Final verdict: I really liked the results of the mask considering the lack of silicones, but I have to use it on a day where I have the next day off because I wouldn't have time to take a shower and style my hair to make it on time for work. I would have to get up 3 hours before which I would rather use for sleeping! Results were amazing though, but I feel like I might be able to get the same results just by using a sleeping cap and another hair mask I have onhand like the silicone-free ones from Briogeo. This SNP mask has also proven hard to find anywhere so maybe thison might be what I have to do after my second Overnight Hair Mask is done!
The SNP Overnight Hair Mask in Strengthens and Restores can be found at various KBeauty Etailers, but the only one I could find was on ebay...
