Today's #SheetMaskSunday review features a new brand to the blog - Leaders Insolution! This is a Korean skincare brand founded by dermatologists that was previously very hard for me to find as I could only find it at the one Anthropologie store West Vancouver. Last year, Leaders Insolution opened up their Canadian website which meant easy access to some of their best sheet masks and not having to worry about an exchange rate and international shipping as the masks ship from Canada! Hallelujah! In celebration of their launch in Canada last year, I was sent a few masks to try with this Coconut Bio Mask with Blueberry being the first one I wanted to share it intrigued me the most!

There are a total of four Coconut Bio Superfood Masks: Broccoli, Tomato, Orange and Blueberry. Though I was only sent one Superfood mask, I have since purchased the other three as I love food-related masks! This coconut gel mask is actually a biocellulose mask that has been created using bacterially fermented coconut extract. This is generally how biocellulose masks are created and pricing of these types of masks depends on the mask thickness and of course the essence in the package. This mask contains a good amount of blueberry fruit extract which is rich in antioxidants and promises to restore skin's resilience and promote cell renewal.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Methylpropanediol, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Betaine, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Parfum (Fragrance), Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Isostearate, Artemisia Capillaris Flower Extract, Ecklonia Cava Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Saururus Chinensis Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Gentiana Lutea Root Extract
Mask Summary:
Price: $10.49 CDN
Skin concerns: Dry, rough, stressed and fatigue
Scent: Very lightly like blueberries
Essence Type: Thick, clear gel
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Thickness: Medium for biocellulose, but that's not a bad thing! The thicker the better and this is reflected in the slightly higher price point for this mask. If a biocellulose mask is under $10, it is most likely to be on the thinner side.
Mask Fit: Good and similar to most biocellulose
Tackiness: Zero
Hydration: Baby soft skin! I just slapped on a Pixi Vitamin C Sleeping Mask and I was good to go!
Other notes: N/A
Final verdict: I really enjoyed this mask! It fit well and I could tell the quality was better than many of the cheaper biocellulose masks I have tried. My skin felt hydrated, but not tacky afterwards and whether my "cells were renewed" is something I'm really not sure of, but if you do try these Superfood masks you will not be disappointed! I got mine 50% off during a sale of theirs a few weeks ago so hopefully there will be more throughout the year for you to try this brand!
