I was kind of obsessed with Dr.Jart's iconic rubber masks when they first came out a few years ago and it took me awhile to try them because they were almost $20 each, but in the end they were well worth the price! Last year, while we were in the throes of Lockdown, Dr. Jart stepped up their rubber masks by coming out with the Cryo Rubber masks! While still very similar to its predecessor in terms of hydration and soothing redness, these new masks promise to deliver a cooling effect and lower the skin temperature down to as low as 12 degrees Fahrenheit!
There are four different Cryo Rubber masks each with their own skin purpose. Though I did pick up the Brightening Vitamin C and Firming Collagen masks as well, hyaluronic acid is always a crowd favourite and one that works for everyone. This intensive moisturizing mask comes in two parts starting off with a concentrated ampoule of hyaluronic acid (1000ppm) followed by an icy cool rubber mask perfect for the summer or just to feel refreshed after a long day.
The rubber mask is a patented design and is easy to put on because there is unfolding and adjusting like a conventional sheet mask. While the skin is primed with an ampoule, the rubber mask has its own essence as well.

Essence Type: Step 1 Ampoule is thick and creamy, but lightweight on the skin. The actual amount of essence on the actual mask was minimal, clear and watery.
Duration: 40 minutes
Thickness: Same as the previous Hydration Lover
Mask Fit: Not as good as Hydration Lover - the chin kept lifting, but other than that pretty good for a thick rubber mask like this one.
Tackiness: Light
Hydration: Definitely felt hydrated after!
Other notes: This mask definitely felt cool and after removal, I actually felt the need to wear a sweatshirt and fuzzy slippers!
Final verdict: These masks are a real treat for the price and though they were super refreshing, the 40 minute wear-time doesn't always mesh with my night time skincare routine as it is a long time to be wearing a mask, but if you don't mask too often and look at this as a true pamper time, this mask will check all the boxes of feeling luxurious, leaving your skin feeling feeling fresh and providing a unique skincare experience!
