I don't know what happened, but out of the blue in July of this year, I received an email from Yesstyle for a Jumiso gifting campaign that involved posting a review to Instagram about the products I received. I thought sure, why not and then remembered my love for Yesstyle and placed a personal order in August. Since August, I have received three more gifting campaigns all from K-beauty products I have either been super curious about. I don't know why I am suddenly receiving all of this attention despite my slowdown in blogging and the social media space in general, but it actually has been kind of fun now that I don't receive as much PR. 

 

Today's gifting opportunity comes from Haruharu Wonder, which means "every day" in Korean as the brand wants to be a part of everyone's daily routines with their all skin type friendly plant-based ingredients! I received the much talked about Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence and Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen which I was super excited to try and I literally put them to the test the day I received them!

 
Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence

This is a firming and plumping MILKY essence formulated with "5 Ceramide Complex" and "5 Fatty Acids Complex" that strengthen the skin barrier with two probiotics: Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate and Bifida Ferment Filtrate. Probiotics add healthy bacteria to the skin's microbiome and can help with breakouts, dryness and redness. I think of probiotics as a means of balancing out what gets thrown at my skin daily! Then you have your antioxidants like black rice extract, fermented black rice and bamboo shoot extract along with soothing panthenol. 

I don't normally like milky/creamy essences, but this was so lightweight yet moisturizing and did not leave my skin feeling super tacky or sticky! I felt like like I could still wear a sheet mask on top and continue with my other skincare steps without my hair sticking to my cheeks! The packaging is also so luxe! Feels like a glass or ceramic bottle and looks so pretty on the bathroom counter!

Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen SPF 50+/PA+++

This is a a lightweight chemical sunscreen that has niacinamide and of course the feature ingredient - 100% Korean black rice extract and oil which fights against free radicals and hydrates the skin. This is probably the only sunscreen I have seen with an ingredients list that reads like a garden! When it comes to sunscreen though, all I care about is the SPF protection!

The packaging is also somewhat interesting as it is an airless tube which has been done to reduce exposure to air. Usually I see airless packaging in bottles so it was kind interesting to see it in tube form! 

I have been using this sunscreen as a moisturizer and it has been fantastic! It does not pill underneath any of my foundations (I rotate between sticks and liquid) and is truly non-greasy. It does not have a white cast (on me) It is incredibly hydrating even now that we are into November and I have really been enjoying the thicker consistency vs some of the more watery one I was using for the summer. This texture feels uber PLUSH and I will continue to use this until I run out!

Final verdict: Oh, I love BOTH of these products and when I use K-beauty products like this I wonder why I pay more than $20 for skincare! The essence was especially impressive and I think I will be using this right up until the last drop!
