FRAGRANCE | Pacifica Strawberry Cream Body Mist and Eau de Parfum

My husband said I smelled good and it was because of Pacifica's Strawberry Cream! This is high praise coming from a man who sneezes at most scents and tells me when our Dyson air filter is upset with something I have sprayed! I have been on a bit of a Pacifica kick ever since discovering that their Glow Baby Serum is now one of my most favourite vitamin C serums! Even though I have reviewed their sheet masks in the past, I have become a full convert to their other products this year. I have also reignited my passion for fragrances so when Pacifica announced that they had released new body mists and EDPs, I was totally in! 

 

I had tried their Tuscan Blood Orange scent eons ago, but Pacifica recently sent me the Strawberry Cream Body Mist and EDP duo and though it's a sweet scent, it fades beautifully into something more delectable and subtle on me. 

The Body Mist claims to be mood-stabilizing (the wonders of fragrance!), odor-neutralizing (though if you need to have a shower, have a shower!), hydrating and layers beautifully with other scents especially when I wear an actual EDP in the mornings before work. The formula also contains humectants in the form of amino acids for skin barrier support.

I can vouch for the hydrating aspect of the Body Mist as I have been using it non-stop this summer almost in place of moisturizer some nights! I was about to write down the notes of this fragrance, but the graphic below describes it in a much more visually appealing way and explains why the dry down is much more "mature" than something a teenager would wear.

What is interesting about Pacifica's EDP is the lack of phthalates so what you smell is mostly from natural sources. As I have been loving the scent of Strawberry Cream quite a bit, I have been using the Body Mist at night and then layering it with this EDP in the mornings, BUT if you like the scent of vanilla, that layers REALLY well over this! I have been using another brand, but Pacifica has a scent called Vanilla Whip that I am going to have to try eventually!

The sprayers of the EDP are also twist off so the bottles can be reused or recycled separately from the glass bottle. This is something that has always bothered me about fragrances! Why can't I take off the sprayer?!

Final verdict: What I am liking the most, in addition to the actual scents, are just how affordable the products are for what you get! Pacifica is a little bit harder to find in Canada, but from what I can see from Shoppers Drug Mart, the Body Mists are $20 CDN vs $10 USD so my guess is that the EDP would be around $30 CDN (if SDM started to carry it) which is still an amazing price! I never know how strawberry scents will turn out, but this one is just dreamy!
