I think there was a Prive box last month, but it went to my spam and I never saw it which was a little sad. I didn’t get a bad Topbox, but I was only really interested in 50% of what I received which was unfortunate. Topbox can be really hit/miss and when I look back at some of the boxes I have received there is really quite a mix. I feel like out of the beauty subs I have, it is the most “bipolar”. I am actually hesitant to give this box up because I know there is a waitlist for it and because the actual brand names included are usually quite good. Umm, hello Benefit?!
November 2013 Empties
I’m not going to lie, I made my husband carry these empties to our new apartment. I may not have told him what was inside the box, but he dutifully hauled over all of my beauty products whether they were filled with product or not! Let’s see what I managed to get through for the month of November!
Topbox | October Cosmetics Magazine Edition
When I saw that Topbox had an upgrade available for October with a Shiseido product in it, I don’t think I even hesitated to type in my credit card number to authorize the upgrade as I believed that the additional $5 (Topbox is normally $12) was well worth the upgrade considering what I would be receiving! The size of the Topbox was very tall, similar in size to the Chatelaine Topbox and also included a Cosmetics magazine.
April Empties
Not a bad month for empties and again it has taken me awhile to post!
1. Shu Uemura Full Shimmer Illuminating Shampoo (75mL)
Acquired November 2012
I didn’t really notice too much of a difference in my hair and for a shampoo that is pretty pricey, I don’t see myself buying the full size version of this. This is for color-treated hair so maybe I would have seen more of a difference if I’d had color-treated hair.
The Latest in Shoppers Drug Mart Sinnage!
I feel like there is always an event at Shoppers Drug Mart and now it has gotten to a point where I honestly do not know what I need/want anymore! I think I’m going to take a little Shoppers break for a bit because I was going through my stash the other day and I truly have a sickness…I absolutely have to start “shopping my stash” as Beauty Balm puts it. The last Shoppers points event I participated in was at the beginning of this month and for $75 worth of beauty products, 18 500 points were given out which is an extra $25 of points!
Klorane Shampoo and Conditioner with Magnolia
I have read some positive reviews about Klorane and when I saw this line on sale for $10, I knew it was the perfect time to try it. This particular line is all about the magnolia flower known for the resistance and shine in its leaves. This protective element is called the cuticle and is a wax that Klorane has extracted to provided hair with a similar shine. Now, most plants have a cuticle so I don’t know what it is about the magnolia flower that makes its cuticle the best one out there. Maybe someone in plant biology can tell me?
Klorane Leave-In Spray with Magnolia
My Moroccanoil Glimmer Spray is about to run out and I like using a shine spray after I’ve straightened my hair and this spray claims to be very lightweight and to give my hair a brilliant shine.
February Luvs
I feel like I’ve been in a rut when it comes to favourites. I feel like I’m just wanting to stick with products that are comfortable and safe…with the exception of Maybelline’s Colorsensational Vivids! If it weren’t for those Vivids, I really would be a plain Jayne and you guys wouldn’t want to be friends with me anymore!
Blogger Favourites Giveaway!
I had hinted on my Facebook page that I might have had a giveaway up my sleeve! I figured this was the best time to do a giveaway as most of you are on beauty bans for the next 90 days and won’t be buying things for awhile. So, here is my guilt-free gift to all of you!

One of the most raved about brush sets, this includes a 2 in 1 case and stand, an Essential Foundation Brush, Multi-Task Brush and Domed Shadow Brush.

Often compared to the Naked palette, but at a much more affordable price point, this palette contains all the brown shadows you could ever need to create the ultimate neutral look.
3. Bioderma Sensibio Micelle Solution
Touted as one the gentlest makeup removing solutions, I have been loving this for removing even the most stubborn eye makeup without irritation. This is a travel-friendly size that I have only seen at Shoppers Drug Mart and comes in a too cute bottle!
4. L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
I have raved about L’Occitane enough and realized I should share with one lucky reader how wonderful their products are! This is a full sized version of their best-selling hand cream which I know you will love!
