NAILS | Merry Christmas! #CBBxManiMonday

This is going to be short and sweet as I have been working the last nine days straight and today - Christmas Day is my first day off since Dec.15th! I woke up feeling pretty tired around 8am, but the kitties were hungry so I forced myself to get up and make an Nescafe coffee. I vacuumed, had some breakfast and then started to fall asleep at the computer around 10:30am so took nap #1 for about 30 minutes and felt better. I've just been listening to Tati on YouTube most of the day, doing some Pixyls and catching up on rest and life.

More than 10 years of nail art and I am feeling like a broken record when it comes to trying to be "creative" with holiday manicures even though they are my second favourite theme (Halloween is #1!). Now, that I don't have the same amount of patience as before, my manicures are simple and generally require no more than four bottles polish. Doing Star Wars, Grinch or Minions nail art usually had me bringing out 10+ bottles and even though I am so happy I have these manicures in my library, I'm not sure if I will be able to summon the energy to do nails like that again. For now, it's going to be about sweet and simple nails that anyone can do like these mini Rudolph the Reindeer nails!

NAILS | The Holly and The Ivy #CBBxManiMonday

It's that time in retail where I have officially lost track of the days and I am just living each day in the moment and not planning too much hence the tardiness of this week's #CBBxManiMonday. I think having last year's holiday season be relatively tame compared to regular Christmases has spoiled me and now I seem to have a much lower tolerance and feel drained more quickly by the end of the day. I am just constantly yawning in the car on the drive home so I keep my car colder to stay awake! Though I don't necessarily love the holidays, I do enjoy doing Christmas nail art!

NAILS | Hi, Rudolph! #CBBxManiMonday

We are one week into December and does it feel like the holidays yet for you? I am usually very anxious this time of the year stressing about whose house we are at for dinner, gifts to get and being alone for half of December as my husband usually visits his family in Montreal (I can never go because I work retail so this is obviously the busiest time of the year). This year is very different though and for the third time ever in our 15 year relationship, we will be spending Christmas together which is something I am looking forward to.

NAILS | Cozy Mittens Winter Nail Art

You might say that I am "mitten smitten" right now because I adore how cutely this manicure turned out! I was all prepared with winter nail vinyls from Whats Up Nails back in October and NOW look at me. December 27th and I am only using my second set now. For SHAME!

NAILS | “You’re a Mean One…Mr. Grinch” Holiday Nail Art

Say what?! MORE HOLIDAY NAILS?? Yes, I’ve had some time at home on my days off to zen out and do some creating. I was actually planning on doing something far less time-consuming, but after browsing the infinite depths of Pinterest, I stumbled across a few Grinch designs (like this one by Nancy MC) that were too tempting to not try! Most of us are familiar with the works of Dr. Seuss and the impact his books have had. I’m going to assume that most of you reading are familiar with the moral of the story and the rough sketch illustration style of Dr. Seuss.
