SHEET MASK | Kyojin/Attack on Titan Design Face Packs

I didn't really mean to take a week long break from here, I was taking over some additional responsibilities at work last week that left me napping for an hour or two once I got home from work which meant that I had little energy for not much beyond reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (oh so good!) and some episodes of Seinfeld which I am so happy are now on Netflix! Jerry Seinfeld must be covered in so much money now that he's allowing the show to be streamed!

It's Halloween today which means that #SheetMaskSunday should be a scary one and a scary one it is with these two sheet masks that have transformed me into the male and female Titans from the Japanese anime series "Attack on Titan". If you haven't watched this, this is one of the best-selling animes of all time and is about a world where humanity has to live within these massive walls in order to protect themselves from gigantic man-eating humanoid looking creatures known as kyojin or Titans. When I first watched the series a few years ago, I found the Titans disturbing to look at as they were grosteque-looking giants with the sinewy bits of muscle showing all with MASSIVE clown grins on their faces. It's the fact that they are always smiling which is super creepy.

SHEET MASK | Design Face Pack Star Wars Collection

I've always been a bit of a nerd when it comes to Star Wars and growing up, I had no female friends who liked anything that involved Superheroes, robots or space. It wasn't until university and actually beauty blogging that I found other women who loved beauty, skincare and Star Wars so you can imagine my elation when I found out there were sheet masks out there with superheroes and Star Wars on them!

SHEET MASK | Cle de Peau Beaute Illuminating Concentrate Mask #LunarJanuary

Well, when it comes to this whole #NaBloPoMo thing, I'm not doing all that well and I had a feeling it would go this way. I just can't physically bring myself to blog every single day to the quality that I would want. I have also been distracted with doing house cleanup and then tiring myself out. I think if I did more journal style entries and talked about my personal life then maaaaybe I could do it, but I really don't want to go there because it might look like you've stumbled upon the diary of a teenage girl writing in Live Journal (I can't believe I ever thought that was a good idea).

So, heads up - #LunarJanuary is going to be predominantly sheet masks because 99% of sheet masks are made by Asian brands! Continuing on with luxury Asian brands, I've got a doozy comin' up with Japanese luxe brand Cle de Peau!

JBEAUTY | Design Face Pack Japan Captain America and Iron Man Sheet Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

My last day of this epic sheet mask challenge is coming up next week and I still have so many reviews to share with you all! Some masks were definitely more interesting than others, but even though there were some nights where sheet masking felt like yet another thing to do, by the time I did it, I felt so much better mentally. I do miss my regular skincare routine and the nights where I paint my nails are much less complicated without having to wait 20-30 minutes to finish sheet masking, but I will continue to mask and definitely keep to my mission of bringing the weirdest and most wonderful sheet masks to you and the blog!

When I was in Montreal's Chinatown, I wandered into one store that happened to have the Marvel Face Pack containing printed sheet masks for both Iron Man and Captain America. The Design Face Pack brand has been quite hard for me to find in Vancouver and online at a decent price without insane shipping so when I saw this duo for $25, I snatched it right off the stand!
