JBEAUTY | Design Face Pack Japan Captain America and Iron Man Sheet Mask #100DaysofSheetMasks

My last day of this epic sheet mask challenge is coming up next week and I still have so many reviews to share with you all! Some masks were definitely more interesting than others, but even though there were some nights where sheet masking felt like yet another thing to do, by the time I did it, I felt so much better mentally. I do miss my regular skincare routine and the nights where I paint my nails are much less complicated without having to wait 20-30 minutes to finish sheet masking, but I will continue to mask and definitely keep to my mission of bringing the weirdest and most wonderful sheet masks to you and the blog!

When I was in Montreal's Chinatown, I wandered into one store that happened to have the Marvel Face Pack containing printed sheet masks for both Iron Man and Captain America. The Design Face Pack brand has been quite hard for me to find in Vancouver and online at a decent price without insane shipping so when I saw this duo for $25, I snatched it right off the stand!

The instructions are quite self-explanatory, but I love that even in the instructions, the design of the mask is shown. I wish I had a full ingredients list to show you as I could not find one ready to go online and I forgot to take a photo of the packaging, but these masks are silicone and paraben-free and actually contain both hydrolyzed and soluble collagen as ingredients #5 and #6 as well as lavender oil. So many of the printed masks I wanted to buy had parabens in them which always makes me hesitate.

The actual cotton of both masks was quite thick, but the weave was very secure and seemed to mold nicely to contour of the face. They were actually quite comfortable to wear and fit onto my face. The Captain America mask was my FAVOURITE of the two because I didn't look all weird and crazy like a robot AND because the fit was better around the eye holes. I also FELT pretty darn cool for someone wearing a sheet mask!

Mask Summary:

Scent: Lightly lavender
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Thickness: Thick because of the printed and has a woven cotton texture.
Mask Fit: A little imperfect around the chin, but the fabric never moved once smoothed. Forehead a bit low.
Tackiness: Very high.
Hydration: Good!

The Iron Man Mask was cool as well, but I didn't feel quite as "pretty" if that even makes sense. The eye holes were smaller so I felt not quite as comfortable, but I knew that I was wearing one of the more decent printed masks as the lines and design were so crisp! Some printed masks have faded designs, but these sheet masks really felt like true textiles!

Mask Summary:

Scent: Citrus floral, but supposed to be lavender
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Thickness: Thick because of the printed and has a woven cotton texture.
Mask Fit: The eye holes were a bit small and the forehead area a bit low.
Tackiness: Very high
Hydration: Good!

Final verdict: These masks were SO MUCH FUN to wear and experience with the actual print really being quite well done, but the one thing that really irked me was just how sticky and greasy the essence was! I NEVER rinse off the essence from my face after sheet masking because I feel like it is such a waste, but I really could not stand it! The essence even after hours was thick, sticky and uncomfortable so I don't know if all of the other Design Face Pack masks are like this, but the Marvel Duo was not for me when it came down to the degree of tackiness. I plan on getting more masks from this brand just because they are well-made, fun to wear and because the essence is thick, even after wiping it off, you barely need any moisturizer. So, I guess it does do what most of us would want in a sheet mask!

How do you feel about printed masks? Fun or pointless?
