NAILS | Peelable Polish (?!) with Suncoat Lovely Lapis #CBBxManiMonday

With this being our last Monday, us gals decided to use vegan, water-based and Earth-friendly Canadian brand Suncoat! I used a Suncoat polish years ago as well as a nail polish remover that didn't work out too well, but more than 5 years later, the formulas have changed and I was ready to give this brand another go because there is nothing I love doing more than supporting a Canadian brand, created by a female organic chemist and wants to make the beauty space a healthier place. I won't lie that I had a few challenges with the colour I am wearing today, but I am hopeful with the other shades that I will work out the kinks and have more designs to share with you!

BODY | My Favourite Earth-Friendly Deodorants #EarthMonth

My first foray into deodorants as a teenager were the Secret sticks that came with those Teen Packs for girls and eventually just hated the perfumey scent of them. I also went through my very brief phase of antiperspirants and soon realized that sweating was a good thing and shouldn't be stopped! I started using deodorant salt crystal sticks about 10 years ago and really loved how neutralizing it was on body odor, but at the time there weren't a lot of natural options short of just not wearing ANY deodorant! Now, there are LOADS of options and amazingly enough, I actually had to pare down what I wanted to share!

SHEET MASK | Boo Bamboo Charcoal Sheet Masks #EarthMonth

I am always raring to go when it comes to talking about sheet masks and though I now have far too many to count (probably around 800?) I never get tired of finding new ones to try! Last summer I tried my first brightening charcoal sheet mask from clean and Canadian beauty brand Boo Bamboo and now I have its three sheet mask siblings to share with you!

NAILS | Confused Easter Bunny #CBBxManiMonday

I don't know if you can tell, but I had a slight nail break on my pointer finger hours before I was supposed to paint my nails! The weather has been wreaking havoc on my nails and hands so underneath this pretty polish is pretty much a set of horrific, peely nails. I have a couple of nail treatments I could try, but to be honest I haven't been taking care of my nails as well as I normally do so I'll try to remember to give them some TLC soon or you might be lookin' at nubbins soon! It is Easter Monday today so we all decided to give Easter nails one last go before we say hello to some new themes for May!

HAIR | John Masters Organics Honey and Hibiscus Collection #EarthMonth

I cannot believe that I have the next three days off as that is practically a vacation for me and though today was a bit of a grocery day as well as blog photo day, I will try to enjoy the next few days off as best as possible at with my furbabies and Casey. I have already had a nap with Hugo purring away on my chest which I consider such a luxury to do since I am rarely home to cuddle them like that.

As we are approaching Earth Day, let us continue on with some more Earth-friendly products this time for the hair! I have seen John Masters Organics products for years in salons and randomly online, but it didn't dawn on me that they were a clean brand until I saw that Whole Foods carried it in their beauty department! John Masters products are free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes and is safe for use on colour-treated hair. Their ingredients list for the shampoo reads almost like a skincare list!
