Caudalie Reviews – Premier Cru Cream and Vinoperfect Enzymatic Peel Mask

Hi Girls!

Lately I've been trying to actively use the samples I've been getting in my sample boxes because I've been finding that I'll be so excited when I get them, but then I continue using my current products and put off using the new stuff. This means that I end up with a giant box of unused samples that I go through monthly when I feel like having a mini Christmas celebration.

So, for the last week I've incorporated two Caudalie products into my daily skincare routine - the Vinoperfect Enzymatic Peel Mask and Premier Cru Cream. Caudalie has always been one of those fancy skincare brands that I find much too expensive to purchase, so seeing them in Glymm boxes was quite a treat even if the samples were quite small. I mean, I think my skin deserves the best, but my wallet doesn't always agree!

I received the Vinoperfect sample in my December Glymm Box and the first thing I was expecting from the mask was that I would experience a tingling because of the word "enzymatic", but this was not the case. The instructions say to leave the mask on for 10 minutes so I thought the tingling would come later, but things were pretty uneventful as I sat there waiting for something to happen. I guess the action is happening on a level that is virtually undetectable! I did like the smell of the mask as it was very refreshing, but other than that, I don't think I'll be running out to buy the full size product ($40) since I didn't find it particularly different from any other mask I've tried.

The Premier Cru face cream was a sample from my very first Glymm box in October and although it was a tiny sample (2mL), it did last me twice a day for three days so I was able to see what it did for my skin. At $150 for the full price, I was really hoping for outstanding results! The first thing I loved about this, was the scent. Kind of sweet, but not in an overpowering way. The cream in itself is quite thick and little really went a much longer way than I thought it would! I actually really liked the face cream. A lot. I'm almost sad to say it because it's so so damn expensive...my skin felt hydrated, smooth and had a more even tone to it. I was VERY surprised. My skin visibly looked brighter and more vibrant soon after application and if it wasn't so pricey, I think I would actually use this on a regular basis. Sigh...oh well I'm glad I got the chance to try this brand and maybe one day I'll treat myself to the full size...

  2. All the Caudalie products are pricey but effective. They work on being a natural and environmentally friendly brand. They take the science behind wine making and put it into skin care products. They protect from free radicals, have lots of antioxidants(from the grapes) and are very moisturizing.
