When I first inhaled the scent of MOROCCANOIL it was with their shampoo and conditioner, then their glimmer shine spray. The scent of MOROCCANOIL products is enough to send me into a complete state of euphoria. I also use the Luminous Hold Hairspray every day because it has one of the best hairspray scents out there in addition to a lighter hold for curls. When MOROCCANOIL moved from hair to body products I couldn’t help but wonder if they too were scented with what I imagine to be nectar of the Gods. Well, the answer is YES. The MOROCCANOIL Body Souffle* ($56.00 CDN/190mL) is just as intoxicating as one would imagine and although there are two new scents to the MOROCCANOIL family – Fleur d’Oranger and Fleur de Rose, the original scent that got argan oil on the beauty radar is my favourite.
As the weather warms up, it’s time to replace those ultra thick body butters with lighter textures that leave skin quickly hydrated and with a healthy glow. MOROCCANOIL’s Body Souffle is just that. A whipped texture that forms little meringue-like peaks and sinks into skin within seconds.
This moisturizer contains the characteristic argan oil that we now associate with the MOROCCANOIL brand as well as macadamia seed oil, shea butter and aloe.
I will say that even the bright blue acrylic packaging and brushed nickel-esque cap have me in love. It is a little bulky though so unfortunately, this won’t be coming on any travels with me. Instead, this will be a beautiful fixture on my dresser.
Final Verdict: If you are a MOROCCANOIL fan, you will no doubt want to delve into the body collection. No, it’s not exactly the most affordable body lotion and there are probably plenty of body lotions that will moisturize just as well, but this MOROCCANOIL scent is killing me and so I will enjoy every single bit of the 190mL. I am also glad that it comes in a jar so that I can easily scoop out this goodness.
I don’t know if any of you are just as obsessed with the MOROCCANOIL scent as I am, but please leave me a comment telling me I’m not crazy for loving something so much.
