MAKEUP LOOK | Elizabeth Arden Sunkissed Pearls Cream Eye Shadow Stylo in Bronze Pearl, Freshwater Pearl and Blue Pearl Review & Swatches

I feel like there are a lot of Spring collections that are totally wearable for summer with the Elizabeth Arden Sunkissed Pearls Color Collection being no exception. The collection consists of a Sunkissed Pearls Bronzer and Highlighter ($48.00 CDN), a Lip Gloss Trio ($28.00 CDN) and a trio of Cream Eye Shadow Stylos* ($26.00 CDN/each) inspired by the mysterious colour tones of the sea and a little bit of shimmery iridescence.

I have a thing for eye shadows in stick form as they make my mornings MUCH faster so when I saw this collection, I immediately gravitated to the eye shadows. I mean, I know I must have literally a thousand bronze shadows, but these were just too awesome to walk away from! With jojoba oil and aloe allowing for a comfortable formula, these two ingredients also soothe and soften the eye area for easy application.

These shadows glide on effortlessly, but are still blendable and last for the whole day. All three were very pigmented and felt like I was applying butter to my skin. Mmmmmm, now THAT’S a good cream eye shadow!

I actually didn’t realize there was a sharpener on the end until my kitten ran off with one of the shadow sticks and started playing with the sharpener! So thank you Hemingway for helping me discover the sharpener!

These shadow sticks just make me want to be glowy and gorgeous so on this particularly sunny afternoon is when I decided to play around with these gorgeous beauties!

Face:

L’oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation in #103 Natural Buff*

Brows:

Benefit Gimme Brow! in Medium/Dark

Eyes:

Apply Bronze Pearl* all over lid and blend with a brush or fingers (I prefer this). Apply Blue Pearl to lower lash line and waterline. Before it starts to set, take a smudgebrush and lightly blend out the colour to give a softer, smokier edge. Apply Freshwater Pearl to inner corners.
Apply Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black to upper lash line.
Apply Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara.

Cheeks:

Guerlain Meteorites Perles de Blush Angelic Radiance*

Lips:

Elizabeth Arden Exception Lipstick in Soft Rose had that metallic finish I was looking for!

Final Verdict: I love these shadows so much! They apply so easily, it makes eye shadow application a complete dream. They are pigmented, long-wearing and come in three delicious colours. I love that in addition to the two brown shades, there is a blue-green shade to add a bit of spice. I love a good bold teal so having this shade in the mix made me very happy. I honestly have nothing negative to say except that I want more colours!

The Elizabeth Arden Sunkissed Pearls Color Collection 2015 is available for a limited time at Hudson’s Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart and London Drugs.
