Wantable Box | June 2013 Makeup Edition featuring Lara Eurdolian

Once more, June’s Wantable Box is in collaboration with Lara Eurdolian, beauty and style expert, who runs the site Pretty Connected and curated the products found in June’s box. She “chose” quite well and I am excited to give all of you a closer look at what was inside!

Besame Cosmetics | Brightening Violet PowderDSC_0057

From Besame Cosmetics, Brightening Violet Powder is a translucent loose powder that adds just a hint of brightness for an instant lift to any complexion. Sets makeup beautifully and leaves a soft matte finish. This powder does not contain shimmer, but brightens because of the unique violet hue in this special formula. Deliciously fragrant, it suits any skin tone.

Thoughts: I think this was given in May’s box to some subscribers and I was actually quite jelly that I didn’t get it. I love this company’s packaging and have never tried a brightening powder like this before. I feel like I should be in the “boudoir” when I’m using this!

Price: $22.00

Manna Kadar | Glossware in Lip CandyDSC_0058

Glossware is formulated to give extreme shine with a stay put application. Your lips are nourished with vitamin E with a long wear formula.

Thoughts: You can see from the swatch that the colour is quite pigmented and has this wonderful golden shimmer throughout. It is just a beautiful colour on the lips, smells like vanilla and is one of the tackier glosses, meaning that it’s long-lasting. I may not wear it all the time because of this property, but the colour is the perfect way to enhance a summer glow!

FACE Stockholm | Blush in DelightfulDSC_0060

Our blush adds contour to your face and instantly casts a naturally flushed, healthy glow.

Thoughts: I am a little disappointed that I received a blush in virtually the same colour as the month before. It looks different in the pan, but on my skin they look almost identical. It’s still a very wearable colour though, leaning more on the coral and without the shimmer of the other FACE Stockholm blush I was sent.

Price: $20.00

Three Custom Color | Eye Shadow in Warm CamelDSC_0061

Imported from France, this silky unique wet-dry formula can be used as both a shadow or a liner, leaving a satin finish that lasts all day and into the night.

Thoughts: Buttery softness is what popped into my head when I swatched this colour. I have a lot of neutral colours like this one, but oh my is this a nice eye shadow! It has a very slight shimmer and is a colour I would use to create depth in my eyes. I love this product!

Rainbow Honey | Pink Cloud DSC_0063

Pink cloud is a hot pink jelly with holographic glitters and iridescent shimmer-perfect to meditate on and Carrot Key not needed!

Thoughts: Why do I keep buying Rainbow Honey polishes only to receive them in the Wantable box?! I JUST bought the entire 199X Collection released a few weeks ago and Pink Cloud was one of them! This is such a gorgeous, sparkly pink that it has already found a new home with my little sister :-)

Price: $10.00

Apothederm | Serum SampleDSC_0064

Formulated with powerful botanicals and other advanced ingredients to help refine skin. We have added two of our exclusive patented SmartPeptides to help firm skin and reduce the signs of aging.

Thoughts: I am a serum lover so a little bit of skincare is okay with me in these boxes. I do appreciate that the focus is still on makeup and that this is just a bonus.

Total Value of June Wantable Makeup Box: $104.00

As always, the value of the Wantable box far exceeds the $45 I have paid for, but it IS still pretty expensive considering the other subscriptions I have going. In a way I’m almost glad that Glossybox and Glymm are gone because I feel like I’m “saving” money! I have decided to skip the next month of Wantable as I just feel the need to cut back a little bit. I did enjoy this box and felt like each product was one of quality. I’ll just have to live vicariously through one of you next month!
