September 2013 Favourites

I am so sorry I have waited so long to post my September favourites! I think I may have forgotten as my brain as been elsewhere the last couple of weeks. I have been literally SICK with wedding jitters and have been throwing up which really bites…when I get excited or anxious my stomach is the first thing to react along with most recently my lips and I have often said that I might need to be hospitalized on my wedding day! I really hope that doesn’t happen, but even as I write this I am feeling so nauseated…anyway, I hope this stops and I can feel somewhat normal again. On that note, time for favourites?

1. L’Occitane Verveine Fresh Summer Mist

This was a limited edition from L’Occitane that was released over the summer and it has become one of my favourite facial mists! This mist is naturally enriched with mint extract which makes it that much more refreshing! I hope this scent comes back next year!

2. Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer

Gah! I totally did not expect to love this primer as much as I do! It goes on clear and slightly sticky and I only apply the primer on my cheeks, chin and nose. I apply my favourite foundation right after (MUFE Pro Finish) and my skin stays perfect all day long! Before using this, I noticed by the end of the day that my skin didn’t look quite as even and fresh as it did in the morning which I thought I’d have to live with, but this primer really makes my skin look mint and fresh right until the bitter end!

3. Pandora’s Makeup Box Butter My Lips Lip Primer

I just wrote a review on this product earlier this month and I am religiously using it every day and as I have mentioned before, will be using it on my wedding day to make sure my lip colour lasts as long as possible! At just $9, this is an incredibly affordable makeup bag must-have!

4. Lancome Genefique Yeux Light Pearl

I thought this product was a total gimmick and to some extent it might be, but I really love the rotating doe foot style applicator! It is like the ONLY way to apply eye serum! It feels so awesome and the applicator is perfectly contoured to the undereye area. It is pretty expensive though so I don’t know if I would buy it again as the actual serum didn’t seem to make too much of a difference for me. I just really like the applicator!

5. Smashbox Halo Long Wear Blush in Passion

This is a very pretty coral-pink and has similar wear time to the Tarte Amazonian blushes. This is one of those blushes where you turn the container and it grinds off the amount of blush you need which I find pretty cool Smile.

6. MAC Lipglass in Mall Madness

First of all, the packaging for this entire collection is so incredibly cute and as someone who has almost 500 Archies in her collection, I had to grab as many pieces from this collection as I could! Mall Madness is actually more sheer once on the lips and because I love purple and shimmer, this lipglass provides both.

I guess it’ll be time for October favourites soon so I’m glad I could share with you what I’ve been loving for September!
