Last month was mega redemption time at Shoppers Drug Mart which meant that instead of the usual $170 worth of product for 95 000 points, it was $220! I had enough points for TWO redemptions but decided against redeeming all of my points as $440 of product is quite a lot of stuff and my redemption from my birthday in July is still sitting in mint condition all wrapped up…
This was a particularly fun redemption because all cosmetic purchases over $75 included a rather large Fall beauty bonus bag jam packed with oodles of samples!
1. Benefit | Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer
This is one of the newer products from Benefit and to be honest, I picked it up partly because of hype and because of the extra 3000 bonus points…I am so glad I did! I have been using it almost every day and I plan on doing a review on it soon because I love it that much! It keeps everything in place and perfect looking all day and beyond!
2. Smashbox | Halo Long Wear Blush in Passion
This is more of a summer colour because it’s so pink, but I just couldn’t help myself! I was in a “long-wearing” shopping mood, so in addition to the primer, I thought a long-wearing blush might be the perfect companion. This blush in in my upcoming favourites post so I guess I chose wisely!
3. Stila | Jewel Eye Shadow in Amethyst
I own another colour in this series of eye shadows in a beautiful sparkly brown called “Citrine”and loved it so much that I had to pick up a second colour in a grey-purple that I thought would be nice for the colder months. All of the jewel eye shadows are absolutely gorgeous and I don’t think this will be my last colour!
4. Rodial | Glamstick Coconut Flavoured Tinted Lip Butter in Lush
My Shoppers recently started carrying the UK skincare line Rodial and I was psyched! The skincare products are quite pricey so because I didn’t want to go overboard, I started off small with this lip butter in GORGEOUS packaging! I’m wearing it now and it is so creamy and also gives a hint of colour.
5. Cover Girl | Nail Gloss in 305
I was a few dollars shy of hitting $220, so I also picked up my FIRST Cover Girl polish in deep, metallic purple. I didn’t check online for swatches so this polish will truly be a surprise when I FINALLY decide to wear it.
6. Maybelline | Color Show Nail Lacquer in Clearly Spotted
I have been wanting this glitter for so long! I have a Pretty & Polished version of this with additional iridescent glitter with it so it’s not like I needed this colour…
7. Stila | Smudge Crayon in Umber
I love eye shadow crayons because they are so quick and dirty to use. Umber is a waterproof eye primer, shadow and liner all in one and is a deep metallic burgundy. A perfect colour for Fall!
There was also a promotion going on at the time where with the purchase of two Rodial products, you were given a 5-piece skincare kit which Murale was actually selling for $50! The second product I purchased was a Rodial Dragon’s Blood Mask that I totally forgot to include! The bonus pack contains 5 of Rodial’s cult skincare classics and since I have not tried any yet, this little sampler pack is perfect!
And finally here is the Fall Beauty Bonus Bag! I won’t go into great detail about what was inside as the photos speak for themselves, but I was very pleased with the samples I received! I am most excited to try the new Garnier sheet masks and the new Vichy Idealia Life Serum!
