October 2013 Favourites

So I’m a little late with this post…probably because I didn’t experiment too much with new products prior to my wedding as I didn’t want to break my skin out with the unfamiliar!

1. Cake Satin Sugar Dry Shampoo Spray

I’ve been meaning to mention this as a favourite for awhile, but not only does this smell like cookies, but this is a dry shampoo that sprays on clear which is perfect for my dark hair. In terms of efficacy, it’s pretty much like any other spray dry shampoo, but the scent and lack of colour is what makes this product a winner for me!

2. Taylor by Taylor Swift

This is a much fruitier scent than Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck, but because there are also floral notes, makes this scent feel more mature for me. I do have Wonderstruck, but I definitely feel “young” when I wear it. Taylor is a much better fit for me and a couple of my friends have even asked what I was wearing because they wanted to “eat me”!

3. Pretty & Polished Custom Thermal Wedding Polish

Well, obviously I have a bit of a soft spot for this polish as it was created for me to wear on my wedding day, but it is a truly gorgeous colour if all you’re looking for is a little bit of glitter with a pastel twist.

4. skoah Klean Love Body Kream

This is a spearmint and vanilla body cream that I have been using that’s thicker in consistency now that my skin seems to be papery and dry. It smells SO GOOD and refreshing and is really wonderful as it contains 30% shea butter, sea kelp algae, vitamin C and ivy extract which all serve to moisturize, firm and keep skin young! Men would probably enjoy the scent as well so Klean Love could be a great stocking stuffer for the guy in your life!

5. Whispering Willow Peppermint Whipped Shea

You can tell I didn’t get too creative with my favourites as I have listed yet another minty moisturizer as a favourite! This one I purchased through the Seasonsbox store back in August when they had their “I’m sorry things haven’t shipped out in so long” sale. This moisturizer smells just like peppermint, but I’ve only been using it on my knees, elbows and heels of my feet as the consistency is so thick.

6. Songza

This has been my favourite online music streamer and I just love how it knows what I want! It’s so wise! My favourite station would have to be “Acoustic Versions of Pop Songs” so give it a listen!
