I had briefly talked about the Mary Kay at Play Hail to the Nails Trio*(18.00 CDN) over the holidays as the perfect little stocking stuffer for the nail polish lover in your family and now I get to show it to you in action!
Inky Blue was opaque in 2 coats and slightly streaky on the first coat. It all evened out by the second coat and the Silver Sparkle micro-flakie topper looked so awesome with it! Pink Hottie could have easily been a one coater and was gorgeous in its formula.
I just picked up these vinyl wavy squiggle nail guides from my favourite Canadian indie nail polish company Beyond the Nail and lemme just say how FUN they are to use. They have the perfect amount of stickiness (yes, there is a desirable level!) and are super solid. I then painted one thick coat of Inky Blue over top and then peeled off the vinyls.
I LOVE how crisp the lines are! To accent the pink, I added some marquise-shaped magenta crystals from this Born Pretty nail wheel which I felt weren’t busy enough to detract from the squiggles, but were pretty enough to catch your eye.
