Last month I was oohing and aahing over the winter Lise Watier Aurora Collection and fell in love with pretty much everything (post). I loved the lipstick from my past makeup look so much that I wanted to give the Rouge Fondant Supreme in Stella*($24.00 CDN) a bit of a spotlight because she is absolutely lovely. The main feature of this lipstick is the presence of Lise Watier’s Concentrated Labrador Tea Extract which has been shown to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and even anticancer properties (Dufour et al., April 2007).
The formula is slightly balmy, but has great pigmentation. The colour is very buildable so you can actually make it look like a tinted balm or glam it up and layer it like a lipstick. It also has a slightly sweet scent almost like a juicy type of fruit(I’m so terrible at describing scents. I know nothing John Snow).
The colour was actually more magenta/pink on my lips than I thought it would be. In the tube, it looked crazy dark and almost vampy. If you would like to see how Stella looked with respect to my whole face, check out my makeup look (here).
Final Verdict: This is my second Rouge Fondant Supreme lipstick and I love it. I am normally a lipstick + lipgloss gal because I find almost all lipsticks not quite hydrating enough, but not with this baby! I adore the formula on its own and the colour is simply stunning, but comfortable enough to wear on a daily basis.
Are you more lipstick, lipgloss or nothing at all?
