BEAUTY BOX | July Glossybox Review (Better Late Than Never?)

Call it OCD, but I need to go in order! The summer just sort of vanished and I was still in denial that cold weather was finally here until I was forced to take out my Aritzia winter coat (you all know that Talula one that is like a Vancouver rite of passage) and wear a wool scarf! July's Glossybox wasn't really a summer-themed one, but I found it to be somewhat disappointing as I wasn't too thrilled with the product assortment. Nevertheless, there was one shining star for me in this box which I will highlight with much excitement further down.

The Aloe Source | Luminosity Mask

Thoughts: There isn't a lot in here...it does say 7mL which looks about right so maybe the jar volume has mislead me a bit. The actual mask though looks like something I would enjoy. This is a chemical exfoliating gel mask with pineapple and papaya enzymes as well as aloe to soothe while exfoliating the skin. Perfect for mature and sensitive skin types, but effective on those of us with normal skin too!

Thoughts: Love ORLY polish and I love this colour!

Too Faced | Better Than Sex Mascara

Thoughts:Now THIS is something I have wanted to try! When I was working as a vendor in Sephora, this was the mascara that kept topping the charts! Apparently it's all about the hourglass brush!

Etre Belle Cosmetics | Aloe Vera Ultra Moisturizing Gel

Thoughts: I guess for the summer, an aloe gel moisturizer would have been quite refreshing, but even then I find gels just not enough for keeping my skin hydrated. Especially my legs...I was probably least excited about this product.

Doucce | Blush Brush

Thoughts: Not the softest bristles and for a blush brush I like my bristles to feel comfortable on my baby cheeks. I could have done without this and I can't believe how expensive this brush is!

I just wasn't too excited about the contents of this box. For once, the mascara was the most exciting thing which says a lot! There have been much better Glossyboxes in the past and this unfortunately was a bit of a dud for me.
