HAIR | Live Clean Argan Oil Exotic Nectar Restorative Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I really like Live Clean. I've always liked their products, price point and the fact that they strive to keep only the good ingredients in their formulations. I have used their hair care before (here), but when I was visiting family in Montreal last summer my mother-in-law had a bottle of Live Clean Exotic Nectar Argan Oil shower gel which smelled SO GOOD. Amazingly good. I promptly picked up a bottle when I got home and then was greeted with a generous press package from Live Clean with three of their hero shampoos and conditioners. Obviously, I had to start off with the Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo and Conditioner* ($6.99 CDN each)!

My hair has been a bit of a challenge since I went ash brown in January. Let's just say that it LOOKS better than it feels. What I have noticed is that while my hair is on the drier side, there is no natural volume. Dry shampoo has been my friend on this front, but because I want to minimize the amount of product I am leaving in my hair to stretch out no hair wash days, I wasn't sure what to do. Hair masks have been great for my ends, but my dry roots looked weighed down enough as is without adding more oil.

After ONE use of both the shampoo and conditioner, I had volume at my roots and each of my hair strands felt FULLER. No joke! The second ingredient in both of these products is argan oil which I think made all of the difference. I totally believe my hair got the dose of hydration it needed without the extra weight. Oh, AND this duo smells just as yummy as the shower gel!

Final verdict: The only thing this duo didn't do for my hair was make it feel soft. My hair LOOKS good, but the lush feeling wasn't there. It is colour-treated so it is drier than normal hair. If you feel like your hair needs a bit of a pick-me-up, please look into this incredibly affordable duo because my hair felt "restored" after just one use and has continued to look fuller than before.
