This week's BCD Nail Art Challenge was a bit of a well, challenge for me as skittle nails are not my forte. Skittle essentially refers to the having a different nail design on each nail, but with a unifying colour scheme or theme. I am SO NOT GOOD AT THIS, but seeing as how the new OPI Alice Through the Looking Glass collection was out, I thought I'd try to cook something up with a few of the new shades!
For my ring finger, I used 2 coats of OPI-Fearlessly Alice*, a gorgeous creamy sea blue, and created a nail decal using some new fish scale vinyls* from Born Pretty using OPI - The I's Have It*, OPI - L.A.M.B. and clear nail polish on my Ubermat. Once the decal dried, I carefully applied it to the nail with top coat and removed the excess bits. It wasn't the neatest attempt, but it was my first time attempting to do this so I have filed away some tips for next time!
For my middle nail, I just did a simple glitter gradient with 2 coats of The I's Have It, sponged on Fearlessly Alice and smoothed everything out with a coat of glitter using Ceramic Glaze - Diamond Dust*. Lastly, the pointer finger saves the day with some fun polka dots using Fearlessly Alice as the base colour and dotting on The I's Have It and L.A.M.B. Add your favourite top coat to all of your nails and off you go!
