MAKEUP | Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick Review with Swatches #LipstickConfidence

OMG OMG OMG. Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipsticks are here! This is probably one of the few makeup lines where I am scared to even LOOK at products because I know I will more than likely buy something. Anything. There hasn't been a CT product that I haven't liked and now I am about to add one more must-have product to the list. In collaboration with 12 inspirational female celebrities, each Hot Lips Lipstick ($38.00 CDN) is inspired by the personality and style of: Miranda Kerr, Kim Kardashian West, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Kate Bosworth, Laura Bailey, Cindy Crawford, Helena Bonham-Carter, Liv Tyler, Emily Ratakjowski, Carina Lau and Poppy Delevingne. Quite the lineup! 

I was already a fan of the CT lipstick formula with its orchid extract after trying out the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks and now there are THESE! Like the Matte Revolution Lipsticks, Hot Lips has the same square angled tip to mimic a lip brush for ultimate application precision. Seriously, it is so easy to apply even the brightest of colours without missing a beat!

I received three shades to share with you today: Kim K W*, Miranda May* and Secret Salma* and each one now has a special place in my makeup-filled heart.

Formulation and pigmentation on each of these was nothing short of what I have come to expect from Charlotte Tilbury. Sheer perfection. One swipe and there was colour. The texture was smooth, light and didn't bleed nor transfer to the bread of my sandwich! The finish is described as a cashmere-matte which is so accurate as they feel creamy, but don't have a high shine yet feel moisturizing. My lips feel so many different things all at once!

Kim K W is a pale, nude pink and is very much the lipstick shade I think of when I think of Kim Kardashian. I feel like a darker skin tone would suit this shade for everyday as I felt it blended right in with my natural skin tone. I did like this shade though not for everyday (Psst this is my "Bitch, please!"face).

Miranda May was a surprise favourite with its coral pink loveliness that just feels so fresh and invigorating. I would rock this every day.

Secret Salma* is something I feel I own already because it feels right at home on my lips. This shade is a neutral deep rose plum which is very close to my natural lip colour. I would reach for this when I just didn't know what to wear and wanted a guarantee of looking FAB.

Final verdict: Honest to God, I am just glad Charlotte only collaborated with 12 women because if there were more, I would need to dedicate an entire vanity area towards them. I mean, holy toledo these are fantastic and quite honestly I don't care that they are almost $40 each. I love the shades, the formula, the shape and the stories behind each colour. I am in love.
