Oooh baby, I raved about these Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils two years ago (here) when they were first released and I am STILL going to rave about them now because in a world of mattes, these are like the oasis in the lipstick desert. These are pillowy, glossy and juicy goodness all with a delicious candy scent and now there are FOUR additional flavours to choose from!
I was looking at my old post for these and I noticed that the price for these has now gone from $23 to $25! Sigh, inflation, but that's ok. Some things are just worth the price and though these scents are new, the formula is the same soothing one as before and I wouldn't change a thing. They now come in Candy*, Tangerine*, Mint* and the sparkling Honey Glam*.
The very large and cushiony doe-foot applicator is one thing I really enjoyed about the Lip Comfort Oils. The applicator is soft and what I imagine applying tufts of clouds to your lips would feel like. The size of the applicator definitely gives this product an ultimate level of "comfort". Oh, and to add to that comfort level, each one of these smells just like their names!
All four shades have a slight tint to them, but when I applied them to my lips the change was so subtle that my camera and ring light could not pick up on it. In real life, I do notice a slight tint with the most neutral on me being Mint and Honey Glam. Tangerine is probably the most vivid as this is a an orange that is intended to boost the natural tone of your lips. Candy is a close second and is probably the one I use the most as it gives a naturally sweet pink look to the lips. Honey Glam has microglitter in its formula, but it is almost imperceptible giving lips a neutral shimmer. The formula is non-sticky and very "encapsulating" on the lips while being high shine giving lips an incredibly juicy look.
Final verdict: I honestly can't say much more than before other than I am so happy that Clarins decided to keep going with these because I keep one on hand in my purse for whenever my lips are dry, but I don't want to just use chapstick to soothe. These lips oils provide both comfort and a touch of glossy glam that give my lips immediate relief with reapplication happening every 2 hours should I decide to use it the whole day. Just pick up your favourite scent and go for it!
