If you haven't guessed already, metallics are in on all fronts whether it's lips, eyes or nails. While I have classically had a bit of a love/hate relationship with metallic finishes, I have to admit that the makeup world has been creating some very tempting products that have me wanting to wear metallic blue lips with a "neutral eye"!
This season's Metallics collection from Dior is all about contrasting colours mixed with an element of sensuality that exudes confidence. What I loved about this collection was that yes, it was metallic, but it wasn't vampy like a typical Fall collection. It was warm and cozy with a few key pieces mixed in that gave the collection an edgier feel.
Today's focus will be on the 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes specifically in "Hypnotize", but I do have a look coming up with the stormy blue shades of "Magnetize"!
I really liked the shades in "Magnetize"* even if they weren't really for everyday. The formulas were buttery, pigmented and really popped on my eyes.
The "Hypnotize"* palette is your more Fall/everyday palette, but it is also on the more pigmented side of the neutral spectrum. The chocolate brown in the middle is stunning and I love tapping the gold on top of any shadow to make everything just sparkle!
The gold shade is the only one that isn't fully pigmented, but I think it works well as a "glitter topper".
I had just gotten back from the LD Beauty event here when I did my makeup so I didn't incorporate too many products as I was very tired. I kept this look very minimal, but added some drama with 999!
Face:

Eyes:
Apply primer all over the lid and under eyes.
Apply center shade of the Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Hypnotize* all over the lid.
Apply the dark shimmery brown shade in the lower left corner to the lower lash line.
Line lower waterline with matte brown shadow.
Highlight inner corners of eyes with champagne shade in the upper left corner of palette.
Line upper lash line with Kat Von D Liquid Eyeliner in Trooper.
Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes. I'm using MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Extravagant.
Apply false lashes. I am using Eden Lashes in Sarai*.
Cheeks:
Diorblush Light and Contour Stick in 002*
Diorblush Cheek Stick in 845 Cosmopolite Pink*
Lips:
Rouge Dior Double Rouge in 999 Matte Metal*
