SHEET MASKS | MaskerAide Signature Line #CanadaEh

I posted my first review of MaskerAide six years ago and it was of one of my favourite and now discontinued sheet masks The All Nighter.  It has been loved by many including Kim Kardashian and though I was sad to see it discontinued, I have enough of a supply for the next year or so, but I don't know how I will react after that so I will have to cross that bridge when it's time! Along with changing up their product lineup, MaskerAide has also revamped their packaging giving it a facelift from the original 2012 designs, BUT thankfully nothing else about the formula or actual sheet masks has changed! I love all their masks, but since I have only really featured The All Nighter on the blog, I figure it's time I talk about the other fantastic masks in the Signature Line collection!

The first photo is the new packaging and this photo below is the older packaging and will be what you see on my Instagram stories for AWHILE as I stocked up and was gifted MANY masks as a MaskerAide brand ambassador so it's going to take me awhile to go through! As you can see, The All Nighter and the Weather Warrior were discontinued, but the four remaining masks are great too! I should note that all masks are made with a cellulose-based material called Tencel which is found in wood pulp from sustainable eucalyptus trees AND is 100% biodegradeable.

Let's start with my FAVOURITE of the group - the Detox Diva*! This contains tomato fruit, honey, green algae, strawberry, lemon and mango extract to gently detoxify skin and help with oil control. Though I don't have oily/combination skin, I use this mask a lot because there is no tacky residue AT ALL. In fact, within minutes I have such baby smooth skin (without any silicones) that feels like it just got a kick in the butt to reset! This is a wonderful all season mask for the winter when everything feels dry and dull to the summer when sweat and congestion can make my skin feel heavy. Last year, when there were wildfires burning, my skin needed a daily detox and this mask will give just that!

I Don't Wanna Grow Up* is considered the "anti-aging" cream sheet mask in the signature collection and focuses on firming and plumping the skin with a combination of hydrolyzed collagen and elastin. I should note that this mask contains cyclopentasiloxane which will also plump and give skin an instantly smooth finish making this a really nice pre-makeup mask as I do not like using silicone-containing sheet masks at night. What I will say about this mask is that it DOES work in making my skin look more "full" and without a sticky and uncomfortable finish!

I find Beauty Rest-ore* similar to I Don't Wanna Grow Up in the sense that it is also cream-based and has an instant smoothing effect because it contains cyclopentasiloxane thereby minimizing pores and other skin imperfections so again another great mask for pre-makeup! What I really love about this mask is the fact that there is lavender oil in it so it just smells so relaxing!

I don't use the Pre Party Prep* mask as much as I should because even though it's marketed as a pre-makeup mask, it's actually a really nice brightening mask and does not contain any silicones making this a great night time skincare option! This mask contains niacinamide (ingredient #3) and orange peel oil to naturally brighten the skin and rice extract to soothe redness. All in all, the magical formula for brighter skin!

MaskerAide Sheet Mask Review

Though I have reviewed The All Nighter before, I will just say that this is so far the only peppermint oil-infused mask that smells refreshing and does not irritate my skin. You would think that your skin would be burning with peppermint oil on your face, but this is most certainly not the case! I love how in my review from before that I call this a "treat and not for daily use". Maybe being in my mid-30s has changed my view on what is a "treat" and what is "necessary" for looking youthful! I really hope this mask gets brought back or something similar replaces it because I just love it so much!

MaskerAide Sheet Mask Review

All of the sheet masks fit the same way and while I wouldn't say the fit is as good as some other sheet masks I have tried, it's definitely not bad. With MaskerAide, I am really more in love with the essence itself and the results upon mask removal. The fit could be improved upon around the chin and eye area for me and though the Tencel sheet is a bit thicker than other sheet masks I have used, it seems to work. I never have any issue with chin goatee so I am willing to live with this just because I am happy with everything else!
