MAKEUP | Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette with Makeup Look and Swatches

This palette stole my heart right from the photos on Instagram, but I wanted to see how these gorgeous bejeweled shades swatched and performed on the eye and I was not disappointed! I don't buy a lot of Urban Decay palettes anymore because I have quite a few through press samples and blogging, but I couldn't wait for this one! I ended up getting another one this month through PR, but the fact that I actually purchased my original Stoned Vibes palette with Shoppers points made me feel less sad about unnecessarily having to spend $68! Don't worry, I will be making sure my extra palette makes it into the hands of one fortunate reader soon so stay tuned!

This is a 12 shade vegan eyeshadow palette infused with genuine tourmaline to "block bad energy and elevate your look". If you are into crystals, this might be of interest to you, but I just like the fact that I've got real stones in my shadow!

There are eight prismatic shimmery shades and four mattes to use as transitional shades. At first I didn't think these mattes would go with ALL of the shades, but surprisingly they work!

My memory of past UD palettes might be foggy, but I don't recall shimmers quite like these! Applied best with the pat of a finger, these shadows have virtually no fallout and are so creamy to apply. I had no issues building up pigmentation using these as sole shadows and they also make great shimmery "toppers" for adding a little oomph to a basic eyeshadow. I also enjoy shades like Opal Aura, Vibes and Raw Energy as inner corner highlights!

I did two looks because I wanted to see if I could get more of a colour payoff with a "stickier" eyeshadow base so I used concealer with Look #2 which seemed to help! After looking on the UD website, it does say that spraying your brush with setting spray will help create a more foiled, wet look so I will have to try that next time!

Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette

Final verdict: I LOVE this palette and though makeup is a very different story for many of us depending on our job and home situations, I have found that this palette makes my day as I only have my eyes and hair to play around with now for work. I love that even on sleepy mornings where I am barely conscious, I know that by the time I am done using 2-4 shades in this palette, I will have an amazing look put together without too much thinking. Even wilder shades like Ojo and Jade haven't felt hard to work with. Obviously, this palette is for the glitter and shimmer lovers, but I honestly don't think I would have used a palette like this one as often as I have been if it weren't for our new way of face mask life. I am thisclose to putting crystals around my eyes when using this palette so if I do, I will be sure to post and let you all know!
