Never before have I blown through hand cream like I have the last two years! Never have I had hands so dry throughout the year or hands that have cracks in the skin that CATCH on fabric! If we all learned one thing from the pandemic, it's that washing your hands is VERY important which in turn means that they are in constant need of moisture replenishment! I wash my hands a lot at work after touching money or client merchandise, but I also use the computer most of the day which means that my hands CANNOT be greasy! There are certain hand creams where you accept the grease levels because it's about treating and nurturing the hands, but in a practical environment you just want your hands to feel unparched and not to leave greasemarks for your colleagues! I have armed my colleagues with many tubes of Mary Kay Satin Hands in a variety of scents with the men preferring Unscented and women the florals.
For Spring, Mary Kay released limited edition mini versions of their cult favourite hand creams in three different scents: Citrus Fields (my favourite), Pink Freesia (my second favourite) and Peach Gardenia (I find it way too floral). Though the scents are no longer in stock, the non-greasy, smooth formula most certainly is in the scents Unscented and White Tea and Citrus. It only takes a few seconds of massaging for the shea butter formula to absorb into the skin leaving a smooth and untacky finish. The finish reminds me a little bit of how my face feels after a dusting of setting powder.
I don't know how often other people do this, but I use a hand scrub twice a week aka whenever I do my nails! After I remove my nail polish, I feel like it is a nice way to cleanse the nail palette of nail polish remover residue and any leftover cuticle build up. You can also use a body scrub, but I have my little nail station setup in the office that I will *yoink* product from when needed so this hand scrub is right next to the nail polish remover! I am currently using the Unscented version, but Mary Kay often releases different limited edition scents throughout the year with the one pictured here being "Citrus Rose" which was released earlier this year.
My hand care routine is fairly simple and if anything, I should be moisturizing more than I do! At work, I tend to delay it as I don't like the process of taking off my jewelry (please don't gunk up your rings with lotion as it takes away from the sparkle of stones and metal!) so I usually moisturize my hands only twice a day. Have you been taking extra care of your hands recently?
